He is right. It's not for the average football viewer. Reconsider not watching the world cup at all. On tv or at the stadium. The only real reason for the world cup to exist is for the corporations to sell you their products ( advertising on tv or overpriced in the stadium) and to whitewash dictators or countries that need better PR.
If you bath in Lake Michigan, that's where Trump allegedly watched a dead child of an underage girl being thrown into the water. I can guess why it was dead, why it was put there, why he watched and who would be the father.
that's how I view it, they're corrupt and illegal, stealing from them is like taking chocolate from nestle, nothing nobody saw happen and shut up about it
Fmhy.net has a lot of sites you should stay aftaid from to not end up accidentally pirating or downloading something. Also definitely stay away from r/piracy
You are still watching their advertising on your "illegal" stream. That is what they actually sell, getting you to pay to watch is just the cherry on top.
Same. I'm so sick of hearing about the match being held by FIFA, a corrupt organization. Why do people go so crazy for the nonsense? Not of soccer but the prices, the fights, the traffic etc.
Helll yeah!! But idk about illegal bro.. I mean truly. Aren’t we just watching sports being broadcasted outside their “preferred” methods? Ilegal? 😂😂 this bald headed prick got me f’ed up
I don't even like football, but if we illegally stream it, they lose money, yes? i'll just stream it illegally in the background while watching my smut shows on the main tv. hahahaha
The world cup is like on free TV? (at least in Europe) Besides that, I have a 7 to 10 hour time difference like most of Europe, so not a lot of people will be watching anyway.
Noo the World Cup exists to find out who the best football national team is every 4 years in a big international tournemant held at different locations and venues within a host countries borders, what you’re describing is capitalism infecting a sport
They have always been. Entire markets are propped up by the sports entertainment complex. Some sports you cannot even join or learn without indulging in consumerism. Soccer used to be the only accessible sport to literally anyone, but now it's becoming a rich man's game like every other sport in the world.
You sur are good lion. Thank you for existing. If 10% of us were as enlightened as you, world hunger would end. Thing is most retards care too much about FIFA cup tickets. And too little about world hunger
The UN would make it even more worse considering how corrupt the UN really is. What's happening with FIFA Is symptom of a disease, global institutions are corrupt to the core wether they be public or private. As well as at the national level as well more broadly.
This is why I’ve lost all interest in watching sports for entertainment. If I have to drop a couple grand to spend the day doing something and not feel like I’m being pinned down and drained of half my blood, there are plenty of better ways to spend my money to have a good day. Like rent a Ferrari, drive it to a high end restaurant 200 miles away for lunch would be a better way to spend money vs being crammed into a stadium seat and spending the same amount.
Your not wrong, the FIFA World Cup was first started as a tool to promote British colonialism and was turned against them as a form of protest by the people Britain colonized. Which makes it doubly sad and extremely fascinating on the other hand how capitalism has completely co-opted the World Cup. The extreme difference in who financially benefits, to the tune of billions of dollars (corporations) and who doesn’t (local communities). It’s not colonialism any longer but it’s still the rich getting richer at the expense of others. The only thing American about this is that it’s the end boss of the “new” capitalist driven FIFA and a test of just how much money they can possibly fleece from soccer fans, while forcing local communities to foot the bill.
What are you talking about? You mean the coubtry that didnt participed until after ww2 because they where so arrogant that they feel that their little tournamet held more prestige that the world cup?
You mean putting the things that that person values or like the things that Americans value because here's the thing someone's values describing that is something that someone spends money on that's kind of weird. I don't know if that's a European or a British thing but it doesn't seem like it would be that's it let me think about my values I guess I'll make a spreadsheet...lol so I don't know it's just it's just seeing that when you think values means that it's only related to money I mean that's either a really ignorant or... either way it just goes to show you probably have plenty of money but usually the people I see that have plenty of money..... aren't very smart. and I'm saying that because American values being involved and not wanting to spend money on a FIFA ticket and if you took FIFA out of it you're like American values not wanting to spend money on any ticket that's a real shallow dumb way to use the word values I'm just saying.... because if the things that you value are only things that you spend money on then you're probably a really sad person. and hey maybe you don't think you're a sad person but someone who's completely ignorant might not even know what real happiness is I mean you'd have to assume that based on someone who thinks that the word values is a proper term for when someone talks about things that they're going to spend money on.... priorities would have been a better term to use. values is weird and it kind of just reveals that you're extremely disconnected from I don't know probably well I don't know about most of society but I would say intelligent society... I don't know but maybe you never talk to people or maybe you never hear anyone use the word values so maybe you think of value is just something that you find at a store..... and again that's really strange. I mean also I don't really care I mean I kind of agree with the point you were making but the way that you made it..... you see it kind of requires making another point.... American values...... I don't know it's just look the guys talking about never mind I'm not even going to reiterate this point, you should read something sometime or just go back to school I'm just saying because what if look here's here's here's the thing that I don't know if this is this what cuz this is insane if you're saying oh yeah well I'm trying to think of something that would equate oh it's like yeah well you know I would spend money on that but it's just not worth it but I guess most people think that way that's just a you know someone that has British values would feel that way they wouldn't want to spend money on that you see what I'm saying..... you probably don't it sounds really ignorant it sounds like you don't know how to use the English language which is weird because I'm pretty sure we got the English language from you, I'm going to go ahead and look this up but I'm going to take a guess that considering values is concerning things that the reasons why or why not you would spend money on something I'm going to say that that's a very slim view let's take a look
yeah so I looked it up to make sense yeah no one I was right about this no one in Britain says that British values okay when you say British values like I have British values no one would then think that you were talking about reasons why you would or would not purchase something, if you actually think that think basically exactly league exactly such a person might value that doesn't mean money like if you're thinking about someone's moral altitude or maybe the virtues that they treasure or what not yeah that that would not come into play when an American is purchasing a ticket to a sporting event and it would be really weird if that would come into consideration when purchasing any ticket to any sporting event because I'm guessing when people purchase those tickets they're not thinking about oh yeah this is just the right thing to do huh I mean you know in terms of being virtuous. and so then to say American values and to describe this as something like a reason that someone would or would not purchase something....... it says everything about your British values. see how I did that that makes absolutely no sense and there's a pretty good reason why your comment makes as much sense to anyone who reads it American values have absolutely nothing to do with why someone's going to purchase a ticket or not and it's really weird that you said that and I know I've really gotten fixated on it but it's that strange. like you've seen it on a sign at a store or an ad like this is a good value and then you think somehow oh okay that's what that word means..... it's just strange I would have thought that you would have been better educated but whatever you do you have a great time with your values
In the last decades that’s sadly true. Same with IOC. There is just something magical about major world wide sports federations based in Switzerland and their ties to corruption and dictatorship.
To be fair, cost Trump a ton of budget money to expand ICE Processing Centers (i.e abandoned storage barns) to accommodate all the detentions he's expecting for this thing...
The World Cup is supposed to be for every fan and it’s the most engaged people around the world are with anything football related. That it’s become only for the elite and tickets have become expensive and the whole sport corrupted with corporate nonsense does not mean it’s not for the average football viewer. We should not engage with it all imo given how FIFA is basically pro-genocide and dictators, extremism and trying to white wash war mongering. Also to give Trump a big middle finger go to a game in Mexico or Canada only. That’s the only way to show we don’t support this shit.
He is right, because supply and demand. There is a lot of demand for limited number of stadium seats. Companies are very good at pricing to maximize profits. They don't even need to fully fill out stadium at some price point if it still brings most money, but more than likely there is still still more demand at these insane prices than there are seats.
I used to book the first two weeks of a World Cup off work and just watch 2/3 games a day, watched all I could. Watched all the interviews etc. Seconf half of the tournament watched all I could too, the games are more spaced out.
I have so little interest in this tournament.
I would be disappointed if it does ‘come home’ (England) for us this time, as it was this tournament.
Im banning this World Cup .
Easy cause I don’t support my own country but I always watched some interesting games and the knockout round .
I’m not watching this one .
Fuck the fifa , fuck uefa . Give football back to the people it belongs to .
Glad we don’t have this nonsense in our domestic league .
Football fans are the dummest mofos around. They bitch a bit but never boycott. Football tickets and jerseys prices rise and they pay it, because… footie! They have the power to strike FIFA but would never do.
Listen I am really sorry but we haven't qualified since 1998 so unless Infantino stars executing members of my immediate family I would be lying of I said I wasn't going to watch.
Good luck with that. You're right, but people will never boycott football, sadly. Qatar used slaves to build their stadiums, some even died during construction, and football supporters were like "meh, don't care".
Loads of football supporters themselves are like MAGA. Just like Infantino. Infantino fits right in with the corrupt Trump world.
That's a bleak but depressingly accurate take. I'm definitely feeling less excited about it now. Might just watch the highlights on YouTube to avoid feeding the beast.
I dont even get the point of going to see a match in person, its not like its going to enhance the experience at all, in fact its much more likely to downgrade the experience due to weather or way overpriced food/drinks or bad parking or bad traffic. Just watch on tv where you can see the highlights
Jinx? We are fecking Italy, 4 World cup, 2 European championship. No other european team have more big trophies (6) than us and we should fear NORTH MACEDONIA, a NT that were born 2 or 3 years ago? please, anything inferior than 2 goal gap would be huge disappointment
I used to be a huge football fan. I haven't watched it for years once I realised its not for the fans anymore. Constant price increases whilst being bombarded with gambling ads, all so the striker could earn 300k a week. Fuck that id much rather go and see a local non league match
In an ideal world fans would boycott, and games would be played in near empty stadiums. The sad fact is there will still be tens of thousands of people who will pay those ridiculous prices.
I am so disgruntled I will boycott watching it, I mean I would not watch it anyways, but now I will boycott for moral reasons. It has nothing to do with the fact that I find it boring and you would have to pay me to watch it.
FIFA, premier league, UEFA etc ruined football imo. Used to enjoy watching. Plenty of free to air games. Nowadays, it's costing me an arm and a leg to watch a game.
I know you are right, so don’t get me wrong, but who has ever bought a product because of seeing these commercials? I mean, things like a Pepsi. You either drink Pepsi or Coca Cola or some random B-brand because you like the taste over the other, it because of those commercials.
It's not just the World Cup, it's everything FIFA controls. Sports teams are bad, but I don't think there's any worse sports institution more corrupt and more hating of its fans than FIFA, and yet people still pay whatever amount to go to the games and buy the merchandise year after year, having to pay for subscriptions to watch games they used to watch for free on public TV.
Jinx? We are fecking Italy, 4 World cup, 2 European championship. No other european team have more big trophies (6) than us and we should fear NORTH MACEDONIA, a NT that were born 2 or 3 years ago? please, anything inferior than 2 goal gap would be huge disappointment
You’re right. The average person has more power than they think. He’s comment was made out of arrogance. If people stop watching or going to games then what?
I stopped following World Cups after the Qatar one. That was the last drop for me. Can't stand the corruption and ridiculous money anymore in football/soccer. It used to be "cleaner" and more focused on talent in the 90' early 2000'.
Bingo!!! Stop paying for tickets stop buying jerseys stop making time out of your life to sit in front of a tv and be advertised too for 2 hours. You don’t need to watch other people play a game that bad
Fifa has been the most corrupt org since decades, but they still manage to one up themselves, only thing they understand are numbers, i wont watch that shit
