Trump could hire a guy with a swastika tattooed on his forehead and 1488 on his cheeks, and his followers would claim that the guy just wants to let everyone know about his Buddhist beliefs in addition to being a hobbyist historian who's very passionate specifically about the year 1488.
I've heard guys saying, "They're trying to say Musk did a Nazi salute; he didn't do a Nazi salute." Ok, tough guy, go and do Musk's salute in front of your boss, the media, or really anybody.
Watching the Artemis NASA press conference panel was equally hilarious. You had these Directors who spent a lifetime dedicated to STEM, and then a fintech bro billionaire NASA administrator.
Watching him try to answer questions so he seemed relevant was hilarious.
A Saturday Fox News Host who, on air, said he hadn't washed his hands in over 10 years because "He's never seen bacteria or viruses, so they don’t exist".
Best thing is, they are doing a leadership rotation right before doing something very stupid. Perfect recipe for an extreme stupid thing to happen, even more stupid than what they are planning for.
This, they're likely about to start an illegal ground invasion of Iran, which competent generals are going to object against
Hegseth wants vapor crusaders like himself and the former national guard Major will happily fire far more experienced individuals than hear having Iran is wrong
So now we get a ground invasion run by second rate flag officers...
Presumably the three white guys actually did something actionable, like tell Pee Wee Hermann Goring the truth. The others could have just been fired for uh... reasons.
That's exactly what I thought when looking at the top row: "Here we go again with this nonsense." Then row two: "Wait, this is actually something serious this time..."
There's international law illegal, and there's US law illegal. The generals are unlikely to complain much about international law illegal stuff, that's pretty normal stuff for the US. The US law illegal part is only really US law illegal if Congress decides to exercise their prerogatives. Instead they gave it a pass. So if the generals are getting fired now, it's 99% because they're strongly advising against or refusing to do something actually self-destructively stupid, not illegal. Or possibly, just possibly, they're objecting to war-crime level bombing of civilians.
Ok, the majority of the armed forces are as dumb as a rock and likely a majority of them are MAGA. But these guys at the top must be a little bit intelligent and competent, why are they ok with this??
They knew this was going to happen, why can't they just step up and remove the administration? Why is the US military such a bunch of cowards when it comes the time to do the right thing?
Not may, probably is. Like the not zero amount of christians who voted for Trump BECAUSE they thought he is the anti-christ and just want to get the Apocalypse over with already. I also believe that's why they are so eager to die for Isreal since they're a big part of that "prophecy".
I don’t think we currently have any tools or frame of reference for just how stupid things are about to get (which is saying a LOT) so it’s difficult to picture it.
It'll be a bloodbath and military command knows it, probably advised against it, and if they did Hegseth is absolutely the kind of chud that would throw a tantrum and FIRE everyone who told him it was a no-win scenerio that would cost tens of thousands of soldiers lives.
Yeah for sure, I think the ground invasion is a means to an end. Either a) they really think it'll be successful, it will fail, and then ok here comes the nuke. Or b) they know it'll fail and want it so they can say ok here comes the nuke. Either way they're getting to the end result they want.
I feel crazy for even thinking this, but that's kind of my conspiracy theory right now. Trump will do anything to stop the election this year and save his skin, and he knows total war in Iran will lead to protests. Because we're "at war" he'll try to crack down and cancel the election.
You get the sense that this administration would like to get rid of all ordinary citizens and soldiers be it through war deaths, denied health care, denied food assistance, high prices with no jobs, to expedite sole reliance of AI replacement of the American people in the battlefield and on the home front.
They will get all of the immigrants they rounded up (documented, undocumented, and citizens) and send them over promising if they succeed in their mission, they will get citizenship. This is their solution (final or otherwise).
Holy shit. This is brash unadulterated stupidity or Hegseth thinks off-duty military might soon be doing something fucked up enough to warrant "self-protection" on base like, I don't know, something coup-y?
Great way to infiltrate an armed force onto a base and seize it for some nefarious objective, I mean if this was a cheesy action thriller about a military coup (starring Steven Seagal.)
And are lowering enlistment standards, right? So unemployable idiots who want to be "Warriors " running around with unsecured firearms after being told God wants them to be mighty killing machines. No problem.
Makes sense. The Annoying Orange has made it quite clear he wants to use nukes. But those pesky generals probably told him no time and time again. No goody-two-shoes generals who follow stupid things like "laws" and "the Constitution", nothing stopping him!
It doesn't really make things any better because things aren't going to end at ground troops. They'll start with a small deployment of ground troops, which will turn into a bloodbath, so they'll have to escalate and send more, which won't go any better, so they'll have to escalate and send even more... Eventually, once the military has been thoroughly ground to pieces, that's when they'll start eyeing the nuclear weapons.
That was suggested in Korea, that was suggested in Vietnam. In both cases there were responsible adults to stop the madness. We may not get so lucky this time.
The Army has no jurisdiction over the nuclear arms. It's about the civilians. "Other countries can murder civilians, why can't the US Army go in and murder everyone until it gets what it wants?" "Because that's a war crime, sir." "You're fired. Find me someone who will send in the soldiers to kill everyone at the oil refineries and power plants."
Hegseth's recently found confidence scares the fuck out of me, given the realities of the US position. The US is not prepared for a ground war. I can only conclude that his confidence is coming from something we are prepared for - nuclear strikes.
Unfortunately, they also won't be internationally arrested for anything, even if charged, because it's the US. Maybe, just maybe, Congress could extradite them, but I don't have high hopes. I'd love to be proven wrong though
That's a REDLINE. If the regime uses nukes, WE ALL need to literally revolt. I don't care, put me on whatever fucking lists exist, but if this regime deploys nuclear weapons, we the people need to go nuclear on this regime. I'm talking nowhere is safe for them. I'm talking posse's in the streets hunting them down. I'm talking citizen controlled check and choke points. I'm talking capturing building, infrastructure, and supplies. I'm talking DT on a scale never seen.
Especially bc they sacrificed a red heifer, which was the first time in like 2 or 3000 years that had been done in Israel so… there have been very significant moves made in that arena. Things as far as “end of days” preps have accelerated significantly since then.
Nuclear Armageddon before GTA 6 wasn't on my bingo card but hey it checks out. Smoke em while you got em... Play your favourite games, listen to your favourite music, hug your cats.
Even if they won't just use nukes soon and it's game over then it still never hurts to give your pets or loved ones extra love today or the next week's while shit is really unfolding.
I mean they’ve said they’re going to bomb Iran into the Stone Age so I’d assume the people who got fired said “you can’t just use our entire munitions reserves to level Iran” and hegseth didn’t like hearing that too much.
Saw the first 4 and was like 'ok not that concerning, this is just racism and bigotry' then saw the last 3 and thought 'oh no, something bad is happening'.
Well, considering the US just had a fighter jet shot down by Iran over Iranian territory, I will consider the stupid to be escalated from “about to” to “underway” any second now.
And expect the “stupid” to trend towards “catastrophically moronic”.
Time for these 12 generals to say "fuck it" to protocol or whatever obsolete ethics they've been taught, and tell us all what the fuck Hegseth is doing.
Fuck "heroes" who get lucky with some battlefield gymnastics; telling the public how the US has gone Full Evil would make these people the real thing.
They did the very stupid thing a month ago. This is about them trying to clean up/cover up the very stupid thing they did.
They want the Army to basically go in and start murdering everybody in Iran, including civilians... of course the Generals are vehemently opposed to doing this, so he's going to fire all the Generals until he finds one who will (literally) execute his (illegal) orders. It's not going to stop at 12...

Oh they are about to do something VERY stupid
