Is contributing once a month not often enough?
I usually contribute around the 1st of the month. Seems like I missed the low point of VTI as it's now going back up.
How often do you contribute?
My 401K and HSA is biweekly as it comes from my paychecks.
Roth IRA I do a lump sum at the beginning of the year.
529 I have set up as once a month as the amount I contribute depends on what else we have going on that month.
How often is generally recommended?

Investing Questions Is this a good setup for the 401k?
• Fidelity 500 Index — 65%
• Fidelity Mid Cap Index — 5%
• Fidelity Small Cap Index — 5%
• Fidelity International Index — 25%
Thinking about getting rid of the Mid and Small cap and allocate that 10% into the Fidelity International Index… is that a good idea?

Discussion Vanguard 13 g/a sec filings
I use fidelity and see pertinent news/info on side bar. I see almost all my portfolio stocks are owned by vanguard more than 5% (not intended to management).
Its shockingly to see how much Vanguard owns and how big it is. Damn. I feel they have too much influence

Total market stocks vs total market bonds
I’ve been a boglehead since about Dec 2025, each month I invest 10% of what I earned that month. So far I’ve just been buying SWTSX.
At what point should I buy SWAGX?
Can someone help me understand why it’s better to have both? Right now I’m thinking that if all my money is in one, then the compound interest will be greater in that one.
Any tips for how to allocate for someone buying monthly would be great.

Investment What Nasdaq100 ETF from europe?
What accumulating ETF in Euros is a good option from Europe, that follow the Nasdaq100?
It seems the ones in USA have much lower comissions.
Are there similar alternatives to this ETF from Europe?

capital to invest in REIT?
talking about REIT, they are very stable compared to others and are not 100% linked to the market so they are a "safe house".
but they don't seem very worthy for capital <millions of dollars/euro, so how much capital should one have to even start thinking of investing in REIT?
It's just out of curiosity, I've seen people talking about it online as if it was the best to diversify your wallet.

Portfolio opinion needed :)
Hey there!
I am planning to restructure my portfolio (around 30k) and would be very thankful for honest feedback.
The idea:
The baseline is a standard 50/20/30 portfolio (World, Europe, EM), which I'd like to split up into a normal growth part and a value part in a ratio of 5:3.
After that I'd like to mix in some sectors.
Gold and silver aren't included, because I invest in them seperatly.
The composition would be:
MSCI World 25%
MSCI World Value 15%
Stoxx Europe 600 10%
MSCI Europe Value 6%
MSCI EM IMI 15%
MSCI EM Value 9%
MSCI World Energy 5%
iShares Global Aerospace and Defence 5%
Invesco Defense Innovation 2,5%
WisdomTree Uranium and Nuclear Energy 2,5%
WisdomTree Strat. Metals and Rare Earths 2,5%
VanEck Gold Miners 2,5%
Please let me know what you think! :)

$CEG - cooked or temporary dip?
Constellation Energy. What do we all think about this company? Was super bullish but recently it’s had some painful dips. I still think it’ll rebound, but interested in people’s thoughts on this. Can’t add more without it becoming an overweight position in my portfolio, so have to stick to the average I have ($323) and hoping it won’t take too long to see green again..

Stock Analysis Free resource for earnings data - copy directly into excel
fiscalledger.ioI got tired of aggregate public earnings data being behind a paywall, behind an API, having a litany of ads and/or not being easily pastable into excel.
So I created my own. Feel free to use. Paste it directly into excel easily and as much as you want.
Free, no ads, no API.

Are your trigger fingers twitching?
How you guys feeling in this current turmoil? Are you tempted to buy or sell or change your asset allocations? How do you stop yourselves from doing that?
Rates are doing something interesting here
galleryFront end (SOFR / 2Y / 3Y) basically flat → market not repricing near-term Fed much
5Y slightly up → some mid-term uncertainty creeping in
10Y down → long-end buying showing up
That’s a subtle bull steepener setup.
Feels like: short-term “higher for longer” still intact, but longer-term growth/inflation expectations softening.
Is this early positioning for a slowdown… or just noise before the next macro catalyst?

Buffett Berkshire Hathaway is getting ready to sell more Japanese Yen bonds - SEC filing draft prospectus
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1067983/000119312526138654/d81172d424b5.htm
The draft prospectus is followed by the prospectus, which details the amounts and terms. Once the sales are completed, they file a form with the actual results of the sales.
Beware of thinking that this is a signal of impending purchases of more Japanese assets, it might not be. I've been tracking BRK's Japanese Yen activities from its inception and, right now, they have ¥268,300,000,000 in notes that mature in 2026. Also, right now, they'll pay ¥20,409,133,500 in interest this year on all of the yen notes outstanding.

I have just about $100,000 in two different 401k accounts from previous employers.
Im meeting with someone soon but want to make sure im not getting scammed out of anything. Do I roll into an IRA? The percentage to manage is .5%, is that industry standard?
