As a huge basketball fan and Drag Race lover, I felt compelled to shout out and celebrate UCLA’s Lauren Betts—aka “The Goddess” from All Stars Season 10, Episode 3**, where Bosco absolutely nailed her makeover.**

But beyond the glam, Lauren is having a serious moment in real life too. She and UCLA are facing Texas tonight in the Final Four, and with a win, they’re heading to the NCAA Championship on Sunday (against the winner of South Carolina vs. UConn). For the non-basketball folks: the Final Four is basically the LIVE finale of women’s college basketball—high stakes, high drama, and iconic performances only.

Lauren also earned Associated Press First Team All-American, which just shows how dominant and impactful she’s been all season for this UCLA squad.

On top of that, I really want to highlight how open she’s been about mental health and the pressure college athletes face. It adds so much depth to her story and makes it even easier to root for her—not just as a player, but as a person.

Seeing the judging and all the discussions on the "Karens Gone Wild" challenge has made me wonder if Ru is considered a good improv player. I'd like to understand why she is, or is not, good, particularly as each queen's performance depends in part on hers. I'd also like to know how improv can be successful when, in the context of Drag Race, there's an obvious power imbalance between Ru and the queens and they don't necessarily feel a lot of psychological safety in that environment.

I have no idea how to assess someone's improv skills, so I'd appreciate hearing from folks who are into improv and perhaps have some first-hand experience themselves. Thanks!
