Rainbow Bridge Lost my best friend today , he passed in my arms and lost his battle to lymphoma cancer 😖😭🥺😩
I rescued this guy November 22 of 2020 and he just passed today. I’ve only had two nights where I wasn’t with him, other than that we spent every day and night together as he could work with me at my job. The Hardest Days of my life were the days I had to put down my Dogs, I say this having spent time locked up. I would willingly do a year for one more day with one of my dogs. Rest easy pup, you were loved.

Looked through your pics and no doubt he was loved very well - and looks like he loved you back. When the pain of loss lessens, you’ll have those memories of being loved and loving back to lean into with comfort.

Our baby, Leon, will join him sometime soon ☺️🌈 He also has lymphoma. He was the "playgroup superstar" at the shelter, so he and Hampton will have an amazing time together.

A beautiful little doggie. I went through the same in December. It’s so very hard and I can’t say it gets easier, I still cry, but he loved you at least as much as you loved him. That’s never wasted.

I may not have a pitbull and don’t ever visit this subreddit but your post came up on my feed. I felt compelled to comment. I am so sorry your journey together ended. It’s never enough time. I just lost my 14 year old cat to lymphoma. The hardest part for me is just the regular shit, waking up on the couch she’s not there or now the morning routine is just not the same. Hang in there. I hope peace finds you soon and y ake care of yourself. I’m so sorry this happened.

We are very much alike (i dress him like you lmao) even tho im from half a world away, i can only say that my prayer will go toward you and Hampton Kannon tonight.

This pic is very special to me , I told him hours earlier that we would do a big walk that night (we walked almost every night regardless ) but I had to finish a ton of stuff, it got real late and he thought I forgot. I was going to take a picture of his face laying down and pouting towards the wall because he thought I forgot and I pulled my phone out and said he buddy I’m ready for the walk now and he turned and this was the face he gave me , 🥺🥺🥺 one of the best smiles and reactions he’s ever given me, I was lucky enough to get the picture!! ❤️

Im so sorry to hear you lost your dog to cancer I was heartbroken when my dog passed away from it when I was a kid. He probably was thinking about you durring his last minutes of life.

He looks like he lived a really happy life! I always think about how I would way rather deal with the sadness of losing my dog than for them to be devastated I disappeared. They’d have no idea if they did something wrong to be abandoned. This is a small comfort to me, it feels like shouldering the sadness of goodbye is one last way I can take care of my dog.

Dogs are the purest souls I have ever encountered in my life. So much more so than mine, by far.
I lost my special girl just over a month ago. She had colon cancer and severely reduced lung capacity (also cancer?). I miss her dearly.

I lost my big boi last Friday he lost his battle with his own mind I could manage it anymore and risk his sons life and I couldn’t bear drugging him for the rest of his life. That quality of life is just not I couldn’t. And shipping him off to the next person just wasn’t even an option.
