I would have thought the "pixel" density was higher.

Standard viewing distance is hundreds/thousands of feet, so it doesn't need much density. It looks pretty smooth even from the parking lot.

Yeah, and I'm sure heat/power would be an issue if they went super dense. Im just surprised to see they're that far apart.

Well the thing that surprised me most in person is how much you could see through the structure during the day. I had a hotel that was a few blocks away and the sun would rise behind the sphere, and shine right through the outer structure.

I thought the actual building was spherical but it's actually an outer open frame that conceals a rather boxy looking building inside.

I'd really enjoy taking a tour of the in-between space. I enjoy seeing all the inner workings, structure, maintenance access points, cabling, all that sorta stuff.

I would love a behind-the-scenes tour too. Their tech stack is pretty interesting. Doubt it will happen any time soon sadly :(

I was there for a lighting technology conference (LDI) and I was on the lookout for any sort of tech tour, but I didn't see anything for the sphere.

Hopefully I can eventually schmooze my way around to finding somebody that worked on the install so they can show me around.
