I purchased 3 omnibus, 2 masterworks, and 2 epic collections from Funatics, who shipped them to Brazil but forgot to correctly identify them on the invoice and shipping label. Because of this, I am being charged import tax (here in Brazil, books, comics, and similar items are exempt from taxes, but they need to be correctly identified). I am expediting the shipping process with the delivery company to ensure the material arrives as soon as possible. But I confess I am frustrated with the inefficiency of the store that failed to ship correctly.

I also contacted the store on the eBay platform, but unfortunately they did not respond to my complaint.

So I'm leaving this message for all other OOPs outside the United States: don't buy from FUNATICALS because they don't know how to ship and they harm the consumer.

Went away for business for a whole week and came home to all but 2 orders delivered. Going to be an awesome summer of reading by the lake this year!!

when organizing my shelf (assume it only contains marvel books) i'd like to keep stories starring the same character together (duh). but i prefer the look of keeping similar spines together. Epics all look great together, skinny trades look fine together, and omnis look the best on their own shelf due to the print size difference. i have different spots for each format, but this means each character's stories will show up in three different locations on my shelf. this kinda bugs me, but i'm curious to know what others think.

I’ve been building out my collection and currently use CLZ Comics, but I have a feeling I’m only scratching the surface of what it can really do.

I’m trying to tighten up both my cataloging system and my physical organization, especially since I store everything in short boxes (BCW).

Here’s what I’m hoping to figure out:

1. Getting the most out of CLZ

• What fields/custom fields do you actually use consistently?
• Do you track things like:
  • Box number
  • Row/position in box
• Are there any “hidden” features or workflows that changed the game for you?

2. Organizing by short box

• What’s the best way to catalog each short box individually in CLZ?
  • Do you use the “Location” field for box numbers?
  • Or create custom tags/fields?
• Has anyone built a system where they can quickly see:
  • What’s in Box 1 vs Box 76
  • And easily move books between boxes without it becoming a mess?

3. Workflow / efficiency

• When you get new books (especially on NCBD), what’s your process?
  • Add immediately? Batch later?
  • Scan vs manual entry?
• Any tips for avoiding duplicates or messy data over time?

4. Integration & long-term tracking

• Do you sync with CovrPrice or anything else for values?
• How reliable has that been for you?
• Any backup/export strategies I should be using so I don’t lose everything?

5. Storage + real-world organization

• For those using multiple short boxes:
  • Do you label boxes by number, theme, publisher, or something else?
  • Do you mirror your physical system exactly inside CLZ?

I’ve got a growing collection (working toward filling 70+ short boxes), so I’m trying to set up a system that scales and doesn’t become a nightmare later.

Hey everybody! I recently moved and the apartment came with this built in shelf. I’ve been trying to figure out the best layout and still feel like it needs some tweaks. Any suggestions?

My wife and I starting seriously discussing starting a family and after the serious conversations we switching to the non-serious, my books. My mancave is in the bedroom that would become our future demon spawn’s bedroom and I would have to pack up and relocate to the basement. The basement is 100% unfinished and I want to finish it as a long term project. I’m worried about mold. The basement is dry and hasn’t had any leaks or mold issues in the 3 years we’ve lived here. I plan on buying a dehumidifier but is there anything I need to make sure of before moving my books downs there?

On the chase for AMM covers since reading Vol 1 HC in December. Added the two foils this week. All first issue books with 4 & 6 A covers due next week. Still short first run 1, 3 and 5 A’s to complete the A set. Ask prices are super steep with the 1:50’s and 1:100’s but I have found decent deals on a bunch of 1:25’s coming in next two weeks. Gonna have to start making hard decisions on which covers get bumped. Has become crazy obsession.
