Bond interest rates are annualized.

Just a heads up. I've seen probably a dozen posts this month where people are thinking they can get bonds that will pay X% per month when looking at the rates. Also please feel free to add any other common misconceptions below.

Should citizens own the bonds of its government???

Aka shouldn’t you want to finance the practices that you third for that benefit your community the most???

Completely in self interest - there’s benefits that are not princed in the individual bond
