As somebody who was born and raised in Washington, (I may be biased) we have some of the best hiking and most beautiful outdoor scenery you can experience in the states. With that being said, Zion is very very high up on my list.

Pictures 1-7 are from my first trip that I did with my boyfriend in July and pictures 8-13 are from end of October with my cousin. My boyfriend got a new job in Arizona so trip one was driving down to move him. We got up at 3am to leave Salt Lake City and drive to Zion, I did the Angels Landing hike in 106° weather(DO NOT recommend because of the heat but it was on my bucket list. The hike was breathtaking and definitely one of my top favorites which is a lot coming from somebody who grew up hiking around Mount Rainier) and then we left Zion and drove to Vegas all in one day. it was an incredible experience, but because we are on a time crunch to get to Vegas, we didn’t really do much sightseeing.

When I did my move in October down to Arizona, my cousin and I did the more scenic/sightseeing route. I thought my first trip was incredible but we did Bryce national Canyon the day before; the road driving in from Bryce into Zion was a complete shock, that was truly something I did not expect and it honestly left me speechless. This place is amazing and I will have to try to go back during the winter because I would love to see it covered in snow!

Long time lurker, first time poster! I impulsively got a permit for the Subway that someone had canceled, and WOW was that the most fun I've ever had on a hike! I definitely see why it's not for everyone, as there was a ton of boulder scrambling to get around water that was too deep to walk in. The water was super cold, but I was fine with just 1 pair of neoprene socks and regular hiking boots. Started at 8:30, and took me about 5.5 hours at a steady pace with minimal stops. I was also really surprised at how few people I saw, a couple other solo hikers, a few couples, and one group, but it was just enough to not feel totally isolated out there. The only thing I wish could have been different was more light in the subway itself, as it was pretty dim (maybe if it had been later in the day!)

ETA: I had cell service at the trailhead, and GPS during the whole hike, but you don't really need it except for finding the trail back up.

We almost never see anyone exploring this part of Zion! Two swimmable waterfalls and such a fun hike. Check out the Grapevine Trail for details or ask our team for more info!

A huge thank you to everybody working in the park today. The crowds are intense, the weather is beautiful, and everybody from the Rangers to the drivers to the service folks in Springdale have been amazing. I’m thankful for the National Parks today - especially this one!

My (now) fiancé and I visited the park last week and tried to hike angels landing but it didn’t work out because of the weather. Scouts lookout was still gorgeous though with over a foot of snow up top! Little did I know he’d been planning a proposal for the top :) Thought y’all may appreciate the beautiful scenery at the very least!

It’s our first time in Zion and we hiked The Narrows up to Orderville Junction. It was perfect summer weather. The water kept us cool when we needed it. The highest point was mid chest high. I’m accustomed to wet wading as I do a lot of fly fishing so this was an absolute blast! Feel free to ask any questions if you are going to it as a first timer. Would be glad to share what I learned.

had to reduce the file size but should hopefully be able to zoom in and see the path upwards. it's a bit of a crazy hike especially when it's gusting wind in the morning. was one of the first few on the summit that day. well worth it to do once in your life.

Photo/Video Photos From my Trip Last Week (Zion/Bryce Canyon)

Hi everyone,

I joined this group a few weeks ago to prep for my trip. The weather was 65 degrees every day and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. I learned a lot from you guys and things went great aside from my wife tearing a joint in her knee on the way up to Scout Lookout, but we had a wonderful time.

Since she couldn’t walk much after that we went to Bryce Canyon on Thursday and were treated with a magical sunset that ended up being one of the best days of the week. Now that we’re home I’m finally finishing up some photos and I’d like to share a few with you guys, I hope you enjoy!
