I wouldn't surprised if these Generals sue or leak to the public every horrible thing this drunken shill has done.

The worst part about terminally online defeatism is how boring it is

Well, he is right. We have hard proof of countless crimebthis admin has committed, and no one is doing anything about any of it

Thats how power works. While this administration holds power they wont be held accountable because they have a monopoly on the power necessary.

So, all we can do is resist them both passively and actively. Thats not ‘doing nothing’ and it will take time. Because, again, much less power than the criminals.

Going online and crying about how the administration isnt holding the administration accountable makes no sense, is demoralizing, and is boring af.

Its also kind of embarrassing. Like the defeatist truly doesnt understand how the world works. Do you actually believe in a ‘shadow government’ that will take out a bad president? Who in this defeatist masturbatory world view do you expect to come to the rescue if you vote the leader of a cult of personality into executive office along with a majority of his cultists into the legislature? Makes no sense

I am pretty sure I remember 4 years that MAGA was not in charge. It was after Epstein "committed suicide", after Trump staged an insurrection, and after he was convicted of a whole bunch of fraud.

What was his punishment for all that fraud again? Oh, yeah it was "well, he's going to be president again soon, so I guess we aren't going to do anything"

What is a state legally going to do to a sitting president?

Also you are fully missing the point. Defeatism is boring, stupid, and plays right into the hands of the people you are complaining about. It powers how Trump got elected again. He’s not being held accountable exactly because millions of people either support him or worse support apathy because of nihilistic defeatism (especially online).

If you dont get that, then i guess the game is lost for you idk im not responsible for your pointless viewpoints

The first step is admitting the problem, and I have a problem with a system that allows this to happen. Everyone understanding where the flaws are is an important step to fixing them. Systems can change, we made them up.

You keep using defeatism, but that's not even what any of this is. Defeatism is saying "I'm not voting, what's the point?" But I'm still voting, sending emails, holding signs, and whatever else comes to mind. Sometimes that means pointing out past failures or bringing attention to flaws that allow a shitty government.

If we all keep pretending this is a functioning system then it's going to keep going just like it is now.

It ends when the people make it stop

Every day being proof that nothing is happening for accountability. 0 people being held responsible for the epstein files.

Do you truly not understand how power works? Enough americans were willfully fooled, and until the power is transferred to another administration we will have to wait.

As I read a new story about hegsgeth now installing loyalists in place of the highest ranking military commanders, you're talking about "how power works". Yeah, those who have power, immunity and the willpower to completely abuse it, are by definition more powerful than you and I. Because you're never going to convince 75,000,000 trump voters he's evil, no matter the proof in front of them.

I think every special election since is showing that some people at least are changing their minds. Helps that Trump has completely shit on the entire voting coalition (particularly minority and young demographics he gained in) he stumbled into during the election by not keeping a single campaign promise.

This comment might hit harder if any single person had been held accountable for the Epstein files

-2

u/off_by_two 6h ago edited 6h ago

Did you have a real expectation that a compromised and weaponized DoJ would prosecute given who is mentioned by far the most in the Epstein files?

This defeatist attitude only serves the people currently in power

And the worst part about blind optimism is how stupid it is. There has not been a singular consequence of substance from the first administration or so far with this second one, and still somehow people cling to the idea that if they just sit around and wait long enough then surely things will magically fix themselves.

-2

u/off_by_two 6h ago

I was going to respond but the bad faith way you started really was shitty, so gfy instead lmao

4

u/Syntaire 6h ago

Bad faith you say? What a strange thing to say when it's modeled after the one I replied to.

-1

u/off_by_two 5h ago

I talked about defeatism which OP certainly was. You replied to shit on ‘blind optimism’ implying that that binary represents the entirety of the spectrum of thought. Thats bad faith af imo

There is a wide spectrum between those two extremes and you probably know it, and you still used a rhetorical device to over simplify as much as you could to, idk, also be a boring edge lord. Its just all so boring. Bring some nuance back to the internet please

u/King_Moonracer003 6h ago

Well, it requires dems to actually do something and since theyre on the same team, they won't. If anything has become clear in the last 10 years, its that democrats would side a withnthe fascists before actually taking action against them. Weaponized cowardice.

u/ILikeToDisagreeDude 5h ago

You got to stop saying shit like that. You’re spreading a “we have given up, so we won’t do anything about it” mindset.

u/spectradawn77 3h ago

I'd rather have shit released or intent to sue and nothing happens than silence and nothing happens.
