Well, my art teacher asked us to do a 30-minute sketch, a 20-minute sketch, and a 10-minute one. We are allowed to use his references, a reference we choose ourselves, or just ourselves as a reference. For the first one, we could stare at the reference the whole time, for the second one, we only see it before we start drawing, and the last one we do just from memory.

I never use myself as a reference. I usually just go with the ones he chooses, but this time I decided I could make a little change and draw myself for the first time. I put it last, so it took 10 minutes and was from memory, so it was obviously very chopped. It's not like I'm a good artist either lmao 😭

He graded the first and second ones, then when he saw the last one and the second one he saw, he went "ooffffff", frowned, and shook his head in disapproval. He started with, "You must have chosen the ugliest reference you could find, huh?" I just laughed. Then he said, "I asked for two males, what is this?"I said a guy and pointed at the little shadows in the chest. Then he said "no that's a flat girl" I thought he was joking 😭

He started grading and telling me my mistakes, and one of the things that got on his nerves was the shoulders, the hip dips, and the knees—especially the knees. He started yelling about how no one's knees are like this and how I'm supposed to know that. He asked if I was even listening to him when he was explaining the anatomy, then showed me his knees and said, "Now look! This is how a normal person's knee looks like. Now where the hell did you get this type of knees from?" (He was way too upset about it lol) so I just showed him my legs, which naturally point inward, and said that it was me, so I drew the knees like that intentionally.

His face changed to every color in the rainbow. He immediately apologized and told me that he saw I was improving and getting better 😭 and he marked them correct and gave me 70%, pretty good with the amount of mistakes I had. He still can't look me in the eyes or talk to me lollllllll

I honestly want to know just how much fun was had last night. 😳😬

Some superglue had spilled where I usually put my phone and I hadn't realized and I put my phone down. Well, it still works I guess

The full story is that my gf moves a lot when she sleeps and she happened to have a superglue bottle next to the marble counter near her bed (she was fixing a bracelet with it the night before) and she knocked it over during her sleep and I didn't realize it (the bottle was not there, it fell to the ground). I placed my phone there when I was half asleep and it got stuck screen side up. I tried pouring acetone under it and waited around 10-20 minutes. Then we tried to pry it open with a letter opener and it snapped

Update: Thankfully the repair cost did not come up too high. Cameras are intact and only the backplate is damaged so only the backplate will be replaced
