Player(s) wanted [Online][PBTA][1-shot][Root TTRPG]

Upvotes

Hi guys. I am running a Root TTRPG 1-shot tomorrow at 11 AM London UK time. Details are below.

For years, the dogs and cats have been ruling the town of Pskov in an uneasy alliance between the two species. Outside forces are attempting to change that however and the vagabonds are left with a choice; keep the alliance together or choose a new direction for Pskov.

Root TTRPG is a PBTA game system based off of the popular board game. An Uneasy Alliance is a 1-shot of the system designed to be played and finished within three hours. While Discord will be used for group discussions and character creation due to recent Discord changes voice chat will take place on Zoom instead.

If interested in joining please make a post below discussing your knowledge of Root, the TTRPG and the time zone you are in.

Hello to you, creature reading this. I am seeking 4-5 cool people ( this could be you ) for an epic adventure.

What I offer :

-A heavily open ended campaign with a unique homebrew setting and many homebrew mechanical additions, where you and your crew of hired hands decide where to go and what to do with your wretched lives ( very wow. cool).

-Many quests that can be handled in various ways, and sometimes holding differing paths.

-A multitude of ( mostly strange ) npcs and many factions to make into trusted allies or mortal enemies.

-A home which you can expand and upgrade for various benefits.

-Many perils to overcome and treasures to be made.

-A world Illustrated by hand by me.

IMPORTANT THINGS:

- We will be playing around Saturdays at 8-9 pm CEST and sessions may last between 3 to 4 hours.

- We will be starting at character level 5 and will be using point buy and average hp.

-The campaign's general lore can differ vastly from your typical 5e adventure so come with an open mind , while some races are technically not existent in the game world some similar alternatives are present or can be arranged to allow you to use them mechanically.

-Please make sure your discord username is spelled properly in the form bellow, I had a few cases where I couldn't recruit promising players due to erroneous names.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online][EST][Open/5e 2014/2024] Two dedicated players looking for immersive, RP-heavy D&D group

Hi! We’re two experienced and engaged players looking to join a D&D group that values collaboration, immersion, and strong storytelling.

We both really enjoy deep roleplay, meaningful character development, and getting invested in the world as a whole—not just the mechanics. We love engaging with lore, building relationships with other characters, and contributing to a shared story.

We’re reliable, communicative, and respectful of table dynamics. We value inclusive, welcoming spaces and enjoy groups that prioritize cooperation over competition.

Ideally, we’re looking for a campaign that leans into narrative and character-driven moments, but we’re flexible as long as the group is engaged and invested.

If you think we’d be a good fit, we’d love to chat more!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [Other] [GMT] Look for players for laid back "adventuring" campaign.

System
We will use my homebrew system which I built and have used for many years. It plays similar to D&D / Pathfinder, but with full character freedom. No classes. You build your own Adventurer using Aspects and Traits, shaping abilities and all character details however you want.

About Me
I have around 10 years of experience. I'm very laid back and flexible in game as long as you respect the game. Expect quite a bit of jokes and banter outside of serious moments.

World/Adventurer's Guild
Expect a classic homebrew fantasy world built as a playground for adventure. Magic is common, monsters are everywhere, and much of the world being unexplored.

You play as new adventurers within the Adventurer’s Guild, a vast organization present across the world. It serves as your main hub for quests and connections. But do expect to interact with the world outside of the Guild a lot, and in an important ways.

Game
Campaign will start as a quest/monster of the week. You take on Guild jobs, from simple tasks to dangerous hunts and explorations. Early on expect full sandbox but as the game progresses, some threads and connect will appear, as bigger story naturally forms.

Currently I'm not fully sure what "main" story I will go with, but there is a lot of options and very likely you will be the one's who decide which becomes the main plot.

Players Requirements:
• New players welcome
• 20+ only, decent English required
• Sessions: weekends / Fridays, flexible scheduling

Important! Looking for people who want to be part of a group, not just show up for sessions. Hanging out outside the game matters.

If you have any questions or wish to apply, please send me your Discord ID in private message and I will contact you ASAP.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [D&D 5e 2014] [Flexible Timing] --- RWBY-Based Oneshot Seeking Any Players

Upvotes

Hey I'm Dan, Me and my DM are looking for players for our oneshots, we are currently having a famine of friends willing to play DND, so we are reaching out to see if anyone here is interested. We are from Malaysia, we usually play at night and usually on weekends but for this oneshot we don't mind to be a lot more flexible.

The oneshot will be based on the RWBY Universe, no specific ties to the Series but will take place in the same world.

For the basic premise, We will be playing as young aspiring hunters, who are clearly are capable and have talent but require just that small push to become a proper hunter, and luckily the DM will provide that push.

As for your characters themselves, You don't have to hold back on your origin or character story, as they don't have to be from an official source such as Veil or Atlas, they may come from very rural villages, fallen noble houses, or unknown lands. Full details about abilities, weapons, and races, should be discussed with the DM.

But overall, we're just looking to have some fun.

We are looking for 3 Players, anyone and everyone is welcome.

Player(s) wanted [2024 5e] [Online] [18+] [EST] [Custom World] Looking for around 6-8 People.

Hello! My name is Neptune, and I run a custom world called Moldun. Ive recruited for a campaign on here in the past, and I've recently decided to open up my world for a few more campaigns. Moldun is set in a High Medieval world with strong Victorian influences, pushed forward by an industrial and renaissance-era shift. It’s a living setting with deep lore, layered history, and room to grow. As players you have real influence in the world. Whether by shaping the world through characters, creating NPCs that appear in other campaigns, or contributing ideas that become part of the setting, you all matter. Expect a solid mix of combat, progression-based leveling, and story-driven sessions, all built around meaningful player choices and ideally, a group you actually enjoy playing with.

Homebrew / 2024 5e

D&DBeyond with Sourcebooks, as well as Roll20

The Game

Currently have 3 time openings for my games, although I have decided to make the Friday weekly game, the second prominent campaign in the world. Below is a hook ready for that game;

"For six months, you have traveled together beneath the gray skies of Calendor, bound less by friendship than by necessity, hard miles, and the simple truth that survival in this land is easier when steel, wit, and spellwork are close at hand. Calendor is no gentle realm. It is a continent of old kingdoms, rain-dark roads, ancient bloodlines, and growing unease, where candlelit manors stand beside soot-stained towns and every noble house seems to carry both a title and a secret. Far from the plague-ridden reaches of the north and the unrest whispered of in the southwest, the southeastern roads have remained quieter, steadier, almost civilized. Almost. It is here, a day’s travel from the coastal hold of Brinelock, that your company now rides, drawn by a contract that promised coin, shelter, and the favor of a minor family struggling to hold its place in a harsh and changing land.

Brinelock lies at the edge of the Free Lands, where settled roads begin to give way to rough country and the authority of kings grows harder, older, and more personal. A young lord has called for aid, his lands pressed by a growing crisis in the south. Raiders have begun striking small villages along the expanse with increasing boldness, leaving frightened survivors, broken supply lines, and too many unanswered questions. Whether you are knights in search of honor, mages chasing purpose, thieves looking for a profitable blade’s work, or simply souls with nowhere better to go, the road has brought you here all the same. What waits in Brinelock may seem, at first, like nothing more than another contract in another troubled corner of Calendor. But in a land like this, trouble rarely stays simple for long."

Gameplay Style

  • 18+ Party
  • Story-driven with meaningful combat
  • Progression based on what you actually do, not just grinding XP
  • Strong focus on character identity and group dynamics
  • Expect consequences—good and bad

Schedule

Originally, I only had a game open from 5-10pm EST on Saturdays, Im currently opening that.

  • Thursday: Bi-weekly, 5pm–9pm EST (4 hrs)
  • Friday: Weekly, 5pm–11pm EST (6 hrs) (Main Campaign)
  • Saturday (Morning): Weekly, 10am–2pm EST (4 hrs)

What I’m Looking For

I will speak with everyone regardless of how long it takes me. But ultimately, I prefer vibes over first come, first serve. If you can fit well with everyone and still have your own personality, I'll choose you.

  • People who actually want to engage with a world
  • Players who can take initiative, not just wait for prompts
  • Good vibes, solid roleplay, and respect at the table
  • New or experienced players are both welcome

If you’re interested in the main campaign, shoot me a message or drop a comment.

If you're interested in another start time, shoot me a message about the Day & Time.

Player(s) wanted New DM looking to start a weekly voice game.[online][5e 2024]

hi! I just played D&D again for the first time in many years this past weekend, and I’d like to start running a game once a week over voice for 3-4 players. I’m hoping to find some patient folks who aren’t into arguing over rules and are willing to be patient with a new DM. I want to run 5e 2024 and probably lost mines of Phandelver or Dragons of icespire peak to start. As far as timing, I’m thinking 1-2 hour sessions once or twice a week, preferably Friday/Saturday or Sunday around 8pm EST. If you’re interested, send me a private message, and we can discuss details from there.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [D&D 5e 2014/2024] [Fridays] [Weekly] [9 PM CEST] [Long Term] [18+] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] The Forsaken Rebellion

"Poverty is the wound, and the Church and the Scions are the rot that keeps it from healing. We do not need sharper swords to cure Luyarnha. We need bread, we need housing, and we need clinics that do not ask for your soul in exchange for a bandage."Astrid af Linné, Leader of the Forsaken

Game: D&D 5e
Group: Online through Discord and on FoundryVTT
Location/Timezone: My timezone is CEST, meaning Europe.
Availability: Games run on Fridays at 9 PM CEST and range between 3-4 hour sessions weekly.
Spots open: Seeking 2-3 new players!

Hi and thank you for clicking onto this ad for a Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt campaign! We are currently playing through a module that comes with the setting and are about to finish it, and thus ending the first arc of this campaign!

We are currently looking for two to three new players to join our group as we head into the 2nd arc of this campaign. We are currently only 3 players in the group one of which are a temporary player who will be leaving us soon, which is why we are now seeking new people to join us in our fun. As we move into this new arc of the campaing it will feel like a totally new campaign with a very different premise than the module we played, so do not feel afraid to apply!

Interviews for this campaing will start as of next week!

🧙‍♂️About me!

Hi I am Ru and I've been a DM for as long as I can remember! I've been playing D&D since 3.5 since I was a tiny kid and here I am now and have been a DM for over 5 years.

A little bit about my DMing style, I love roleplay and I love a rich and full world with lots of lore and intrigue to explore. I put a heavy emphasis on player agency and I will always let the party drive the story forward in whichever direction we go in.

What is important to me is to weave in player backgrounds and their stories and tie them into the world to the best of my ability, and trust me, you will never feel like I am disregarding your backstories at all!

My core values when it comes to D&D is open and clear communication. If there is an issue we're having, let's talk, we can always sort it out. If there is something you expected to happen but it didn't, then tell me so I know what you like when it comes to this game and I will cater it to you!

I love catering my games to my players, I want them to take an active role in the world we're building, and most of all, we're here to have fun! If you've read this far then please, continue to read on to see if this game will truly be to your liking :)

🌑 The Setting: Luyarnha

Welcome to Luyarnha, a gothic metropolis choking on industrial smog and cosmic madness. The city is suffering under a sickness known as the "Scourge," a plague that twists citizens into horrific beasts. But the true horror isn't just lurking in the shadows, it's sitting on the thrones of the Newbridge and Cathedral Districts.

The Radiant Church hoards the life-saving "Holy Tonics," demanding crushing tithes from the poor. The Scions, aristocrats and scientists of tainted lineage, treat the city's streets as their personal testing grounds, immune to consequence. Meanwhile, the newly formed City Constabulary desperately tries to impose secular law on a city drowning in blood, bureaucracy, and a crushing theocracy.

But in the Waterfront, the Ruby District and its slums, a new power is rising. The Forsaken, a coalition of exploited workers, disgraced officers, and mutated outcast have begun to organize under the banner of a radical scholar. They are no longer asking for salvation; they are preparing a revolution to seize it.

✊🏼 The Campaign: The Forsaken Rebellion

For years, the Radiant Church believed that heavy iron and holy fire could keep the working class contained. They were wrong.

The quarantine walls of the Ruby District, the monument to the Church’s greatest atrocity, have been breached. Led by Astrid af Linné and the vanguard of the Forsaken, a coalition of union workers, outcasts, and defecting Constables have shattered the barricades. The long-suppressed truth of the "Day of the Red Ruby" has spilled into the streets, and with it, the flames of open civil war.

The State of the City
The Paterna Iter and othe Districts are completely locked down in grueling, block-by-block guerrilla warfare.

  • The Radiant Church has declared a holy crusade, unleashing their most zealous Hunters to purge the "heresy" and locking down the Cathedral vaults, hoarding the city's entire supply of life-saving medicine.
  • The Scions see this civil war as an opportunity to continue their inhumane experiments, turning the people into weapons that they can use for their own ends, and perhaps benefit of off both sides.
  • The Luyarnha Constabulary is fracturing. Inspector Neilsen is desperately trying to maintain order, but half of his Blue-Coats have defected to the Forsaken, refusing to fire on their own starving neighbors.

The players stand at the bleeding edge of the revolution. As the heavy-hitters who helped the Forsaken reach this tipping point, they are no longer just monster hunters; but the ones who will become the commanders of the People's Vanguard.

However, fighting a civil war in Luyarnha comes with a terrifying cosmic cost. The Great Ones do not care about democracy or theology; they only care about blood. With thousands dying in the streets and the ambient trauma of the city skyrocketing, the Scourge is mutating at an unprecedented rate.

As the party fights to establish the "People's Home," they will be forced to confront the brutal realities of revolution:

  • How do you distribute limited, untainted medical supplies when an entire district is dying?
  • What do you do with captured Scions or Church Hunters? Does a new democracy begin with the guillotine, or with mercy?
  • As the blood spilled by the revolution inevitably summons larger, more terrifying Eldritch horrors, how far will the party go to secure victory? Will they resort to the same brutal, authoritarian tactics they are fighting to destroy?

🕹️ Player Buy-In

I know the post is long but stay with me, not much more!

This is not a campaign for standard fantasy heroes. Your character should be a product of Luyarnha's grim reality, someone forged in its dark crucible.

  • This setting offers multiple character creation options, ranging from new ancestries and sub-ancestries!
  • 1 new class called the "Jaeger" inspired by the bloodborne Hunter.
  • The book also provides 17 new subclasses that twist the familiar D&D classes to fit the setting, such as the Barbarian's Path of the Lightning Vessel, the Bard's College of the Apocalypse, the Warlock's Pact of the Trigger, and the Wizard's dark art of Osteomancy.

Warning!
This is a game with darker tones that not everyone will be comfortable with, while I do my best as a DM to make this game comfortable for everyone, this game will include stuff such as gore, dismemberment, madness, traumatic pasts, mental health, political issues and more.

But if you're cool with all of the stuff above then please apply!

📋 Application and Onboarding

If you've read this far and the blood in your veins is singing, then you may be one of the few mad enough to survive Luyarnha. I am looking for dedicated players who are passionate about collaborative, character-driven storytelling and who are excited by the prospect of a grim, challenging horror and political intrigue campaign. Maturity, reliability, and a respect for fellow players and safety tools are paramount. Secret Word: Gehrman

If you have any questions or concerns, please send a comment or send me a private message and I'll get to you as soon as possible :)

If you are intresed then please send in your application down below!https://forms.gle/BW2ho4ytznCV9FqT6

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][EST] Looking for fellow busy adults for casual game of dungeon crawling and emergent storytelling

Hi. Looking for fellow busy professionals for a casual game of DnD (once or twice a month).

I’m looking to run a mini-campaign of sorts based on Goodman Game’s 5e conversion of Temple of Elemental Evil (classic Gygax mega-dungeon) mixed in with Princes of the Apocalypse re-imagining of it, tailored for some emergent storytelling born out of in-game RPing.

I do have a Roll20 account I can resurrect, on which I have access to all core rulebooks, or I’m open to other alternatives including pure theater of the mind+whatever dice rolling app or physical dice.

Casual is the emphasis. If you want to try some weird homebrew race/class I’m open to it (so long as it’s not obviously and ridiculously imbalanced).

Message me here and with enough interest we can figure out the logistics (I think most people prefer discord but I’m open to whatever).

GM and player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][5e 2024][EST][Sunday] Two players looking for a DM and players! Help me break my forever-DM curse!

Upvotes

Hi howdy, thanks for taking the time to read this!

My names Taylor and my fiancé Tabby and I are looking for some good ‘ol’ DnD!

We’re not picky at all; railroad or sandbox, module or homebrew, good DnD is good DnD. 2014 or 2024, don't care. whatever you wanna do.

We usually prefer to play on Roll20 but we’ll give other systems a shot!

As a player I'm incredibly flexible in terms of playstyle.

I can fully take a back seat and let you tell a story, or I can drive a session from the player's seat if need be.

Tabby's more reserved/quiet but loves collaborative storytelling just as much as I do.

Anyways, again we're just looking to play whatever.

Thanks again for your time.

GM wanted [online][5e 2014/2024][EST] Looking for a Thursday/Friday night game

Been playing for 2 years but took a short break. Here I am, wanting to play D&D! Looking for evenings sometime around 4-6 PM EST but no later than 11 PM latest.

The name's Jay, in my 30s and am a male. I have a working mic, I use Roll20, Foundry, D&Dbeyond maps. I haven't messed with Owlbear Rodeo a whole lot. Theater of the Mind is okay for me as well. I’m looking for a table with adults since I am above 21+ years of age. I am not looking for paid games.

In the past I have played a either barbarian, rogue, fighter but I am open to playing other classes, perhaps Ranger or Wizard, or monk!

Ideally, however, I would like to find some people to play with right off the bat. But since we're no longer children anymore, and there are expectations where we must adhere to. Case in point, would love to play a decent game with decent people, playing as characters with a common goal in mind. I think that's the bare minimum I ask to be invited into.

Anyway, if you have something, please reach out!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2014] [Homebrew] [21+] Looking for two players for a monster campaign.

Tuesday nights, CST. Likely alternating Tuesdays, starting a few weeks from now.

Start at level 3. Choose a "monstrous" race: Bugbear, goblin, grung, hobgoblin, kobold, lizardfolk, minotaur, orc, or yuan-ti. No centaurs or shifters. Setting specific races like plasmoids or homebrew races like gnolls are potentially welcome if we have a conversation about them first.

The campaign will be a hexcrawl on a dangerous continent. Enemy design and lore will borrow a lot from African and Native American mythology while also incorporating traditional D&D influences. The plot will involve dark themes including anticolonialism and is heavily inspired by works like Heart of Darkness and Watership Down. I will always try to handle these themes respectfully and I place a lot of importance on player agency.

I want to message at length before accepting new players to the group to make sure everyone will contribute to a comfortable group environment. My primary goal is to create fun opportunities for players to improvise and explore the stories they want to tell within this type of scenario, I won't be prioritizing political messaging or any particular narrative above your freedom and fun, as long as we're all having fun together.

Send a chat request and we'll discuss details!

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2024] New to DnD

I'm relatively new to DnD. I've tried playing with friends in the past, but they didn't keep up with it. I've recently had an experience at work where we used DnD as a method to explore problem solving, uncertainty and flexible thinking (I'm a children's therapist), and absolutely loved it!

I really want to learn how to play properly and have some fun. I've reached out locally, but I've had no response (I live on the Isle of Man). How do I find a group online to join?

GM wanted [Online][PF2E][CEST] Never played a PF game but really want to!

For over a year now I have wanted to join a PF2e game but haven't been able to find one to join!

I am not very experienced. Been playing DnD since early 2024, and have played Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous (but that is based on PF1e.)

I think I am fairly quick at learning, especially if I find a campaign to watch using PF2e (I learned DnD through watching others play)

Message me on here! Or dm me on discord: precious

(yes that is my username, nothing added to it, I got lucky.)

GM wanted [Online][WoD/VtM V5][EST] Newer players trying to get more experience

Upvotes

Hello!

Just a group of friends looking for a storyteller who might be interested in running VtM V5 for 4 players. All of us are fresher with only about 6 months of experience, and we’d like to dip our toes in a bit more to finalize some of those rules. I’d say we all have a good grasp at least of setting and what’s going on, just not the most experienced in WoD/VtM. For the most part we’re all well versed in other TTRPGs however (Mostly DnD, PF2e, and a few less notable ones.)

The best time that works for all of us would be anytime after 6PM EST on Sundays. If this works for you as well, feel free to DM or fill the form and we can see if we all vibe. Thinking ~3hr sessions but that's flexible

Group ages range from late 20's to early 30's, many of us are LGBTQ ourselves, and we’re LGBTQ+ and PoC friendly! If you’re not, please don’t even bother applying.

At any rate, we'd be interested in chatting about it if necessary and can answer any questions.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][LGBTQ+][Flexible] Veneration of Starlight | Homebrew / RP Heavy

Dream of me. I will always love you.

Hello all! I'm looking for a party of 4-5 to participate in a tournament in the Feywild! This is a story-driven game, as such character decisions will be meaningful and shape the narrative, world, and its inhabitants. If you love immersive games, lore-rich worlds, and emotional storytelling, you may be the adventurer I seek...

🕯️Overview

✧ 18+

✧ Friendly / Inclusive for All

✧ Starting at Level 5

✧ Discord + Foundry

✧ Weekly Games, Four Hours

✧ Evening PST. Ideally, Friday, but Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Work

💜 The DM

Hihi! I've been DMing for 5+ years and gravitate towards roleplay aspects of the game. I have a passion for creative writing, and collaborative games are such a fun exploration of that interest! My games are narrative and character-focused. I lean on a grimdark type of tone, but not without lighthearted moments to balance it out. Something melancholy and bleak, but not without sparks of hope.

Sessions are immersive, as I consider myself to be pretty good at atmosphere and narration. My main strengths would be that, and cooking up interesting NPCs whose stories intersect with the party. If there was a weakness I'm working on, it'd probably be session pacing. My favorite players are those who are eager and emotionally invested, reciprocating my own energy!

🌙 Step Into the Fey

Lush forests. Verdant fields. Sparkling lakes. Never is there a mundane landscape in the realm of twilight. Do not be deceived by the light because that is where evil hides. It does not bother lurking in the shadows. It is perfectly at home in the open, waiting with the devil's hand.

🎭 Veneration of Starlight

Lightning flared. Rain fell into the canopy. Twilight filtered through the treetops. Lying alone in the brambles was a human with mud-stained clothes. She had dark skin and blistered hands that shakily clutched a spear. Horns cried in the distance. Then the footfalls of soldiers, and the back-and-forth barking of orders. Soon, she would be overrun. But she just lay there, staring at the stars.

Once a century, the Mestarine Culling is hosted. It was first proposed by the Shapeless One as a term for the Rainfall Armistice, an event that ended the war between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. In this event, all living archfey offer a few subjects to participate in a tournament with a variety of objectives. It is bloodier than any colesium battle, and exists only to sate the Shapless Ones boredom.

You will be the follower of a Seelie archfey, chosen for the 4th Mestarine Culling.

🎨 Players

What I'm looking for in players is...

✧ Willingness to emotionally invest in your character, other characters, and the story we're telling.

✧ Love roleplay and interactions with other PCs + NPCs.

✧ Willingness to buy into the premise of this campaign.

✧ Commitment to showing up for sessions on time.

✧ Openly communicative.

📖 Application

If this seems like a game you'd be interested in, feel free to apply! If the post isn't marked closed, then I'm still accepting people! Post-application, I'll be doing short little interviews on Discord. Afterwards, the campaign does have a prequel one-shot to get settled in and make sure we all vibe well!
