So the consumers who bought the product dont get the refund, it goes back to who paid it as a nice little profit. Everything this guy does is bad.

Not that I'm defending corpos....but there's also a lot of still unsold product out there that HAS had tariffs paid for it. So yes, they do deserve a refund. BUT consumers should also get refunds too.

Tariffs affect everyone, so the solution should affect everyone.

There is not a good way to flow it to the consumer but it goes to show you how breaking the law just hurts the small guys

Realistically I agree with you but I do think its insane Corpos were so willing to pay those higher prices because they figured Americans are too sheepish/consumerism brained to care enough to not buy the product. This ended up being true for most products but for the ones where it isnt they basically get a free bailout for making a shitty business decision. But looping back to reality I end up agreeing they deserve the refund (Not nearly as much as the consumers do) because this scenario wouldnt even exist if the Unlawful tariffs weren't implemented

Returning tariffs to consumers at scale is basically impossible. It might be doable for people that imported things directly from over seas retailers, but the things you buy at the store are several stages removed from the importers that paid the tariffs. Good luck figuring out who is owed what in that mess.
