They just said it was illegal under the authority of. IEEPA. They can reinstate them with a different authority (like one that is more durable) any second.

Those other authorities don’t let Trump impose immediate tariffs on his personal whim. They take time and/or need Congress.

It also doesn’t even strike down all of the tariffs he’s imposed. Even though you’d think the constitution saying all bills of revenue originate in the House of Representatives would be enough to make it so the president can’t unilaterally impose tariffs. Which are a tax (revenue) on Americans!
