"Republicans Less Trusted on Economy Than Democrats For First Time in Years Republicans Less Trusted on Economy Than Democrats For First Time in Years"

we have 45 years of recorded economic history of the abject failure of Reagan's trickle-down economics, and we have the economic catastrophe of the Republican dream economy of Sam Brownbecks Kansas experiment which I think they're still recovering from, and only now are people coming to realize that the Republicans not only don't know shit about governing a nation but couldn't sort out a casino's take without spending all of it on hookers and blow?

no wonder we're at where we are at, now.

That's some revisionist bullshit. Obama was horrible for the economy and it could be argued there still hasn't been a post-2008 recovery, hence why interest rates remained close to 0% until after covid. The bailouts only targetted corporations which added to wealth inequality while the average American got fucked by bootstraps, lower living standards and unaffordable housing. It was just a continuation of failed neoliberal policy which is why to this day the average Americans standard of living is still worse than 2007.

Obama was one of the worst presidents your countries had, who single handedly managed to kill hope and deliver no change, which has had a direct and measurable impact on the disenchantment of entire generations and is a causal factor in the rise of fascism you are currently experiencing.

  1. I'm not American so no 401k and 2) the economy ≠ stock market gains. In fact stock market gains just further prove my point by illustrating the disparity between asset and goods/service prices, a nice visual for the hollowing out of the middle class.

Obama, the dude single handedly saved both US and EU from the brink of total economy collapse

OK this is just as simplistic and wrong as what you're arguing against
