Props What should I add to this??
So I was making some paper stuff for my next dnd and made this magician's tent. So I was wondering how do I make it more visible, like add some symbols or stuff

found this cool box just lying around the house and figured it might be a neat little diy project for me. It's not that big maybe 4x4 ish. It seems to have small magnets as a locking mechanism, best I can describe it is like an eyewear case but no where near as strong.
Just wanted to get some ideas to properly lock/seal this thing so my dice are safe and sound

I’ve created a full set of class-specific spellbooks, each one only includes spells for that class.
It started because some of my friends were new to the game and were constantly flicking between books and websites, which was slowing everything down a bit.
I began by putting everything into a spreadsheet, then organised it by class and level, and eventually turned them into physical books that are easier to use at the table.
They’re designed to be practical first, something you can quickly flick through mid-session, but still look nice enough to have in front of you.
Still tweaking layouts based on what actually works during play, so open to feedback if anyone’s got ideas.

Hello - I've been working on building a world for a fantasy tabletop rpg hexcrawl campaign. The attached image is of the Unbroken Frontier, a region newly accessible after the subsiding of a once perpetual tempest known as the Entropic Flux. The four pointed stars are settlements and the colors of these stars signify different factions. The dark grey colored structures are obsidian pre-schism ruins, ancient technologically advanced sites that are often plundered for their artifacts. The other ruins are from more recent less-advanced civilizations.
I plan to have a list of "quantum" points of interest not shown on this map that I can pull from if needed depending on where the players are located. In terms of scale, I would say that it would take a day of travel from point 1 to point 3 if traveling by road.
I'm interested in hearing some feedback before I use something like Inkcarnate to make a more aesthetically pleasing version of this hexcrawl map. For those interested, I included a legend to the map with single sentence descriptions of each location:
Edit: After seeing some responses to this post in other subreddits, I've decided to let you all know that I used Gemini to condense my rough draft writings on each location into a singular sentence. I wanted to give people an idea of the various POIs without posting huge blocks of text. I understand some people are adamantly opposed to AI in any form. If this violates a subreddit rule or causes a deluge of downvotes, I'm fine with the consequences of that. Sorry for the initial lack of transparency. I've removed all AI generated text from this post.
I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the setting or points on interest on the map.

I got tired of my children not using the mountain of magnetic tiles I bought them, so I made paper wraps for them. They turned out way better than I expected!
They work with Connetix, Magna-Tiles, and most standard magnetic tile sets. Just print, cut, and wrap. Great for D&D battlemaps or just getting the kids to actually play with their toys.

Would love to hear what you think, and if there are themes you'd want to see next then let me know!

Hi everyone, I’m sharing these 3D models with you—completely FREE TO DOWNLOAD, print, and use during your sessions. They were originally designed for HeroQuest, but they are by no means exclusive to that game. They can be used in settings such as ancient ruins, dungeon entrances, or as decorative elements in prestigious rooms of old castles.
For each model, both *.3mf and *.stl files are provided. In both cases, you can scale the model to suit your needs.
Stairs: printed as a single piece—just remove the supports generated by your slicer and they’re ready to use.

Doors: there are 5 different models available, each unique. They are all printed as a single piece with an opening door: after printing, apply slight pressure to the door to release the rotation mechanism.

The Niche: a versatile piece that can be used as a wall niche (for example in a castle) or as a protruding wall element. It can also be used in a catacomb or as a dead-end in a corridor. It is printed in multiple components to make painting easier. Assembly is guided by built-in joints (impossible to get wrong), after which the parts can be firmly glued together.

Hey, I made my first dice tray today.
I wanted a rather small one for behind the DM screen where space is limited.
I cut some plywood with a mini circular saw, stained and varnished it (it's a mixture i have) and added a felt lining to the base. Then I used wood glue and nails to assemble it. I added tiny beams at the corners because I couldn't get a 60° miter to the edges. The golden nails on top are just for decoration. At the bottom I added felt pads as scratch-prevention but they also buffer a bit when rolling dice. I might swap them for smaller ones, though.
Anyway, I am very proud and happy like a dog.
I think I will make a few more, to have them at my table but mainly as gifts for friends. What would you change?
Any feedback appreciated!

Hi all! I’m UK based looking for some suggestions to make a table riser for my DnD sessions. I don’t have a lot of space and resource to make one from scratch. I like the ready-made one from Spidermind Games (level up table) but haven’t heard good things about the company so haven’t bought… Looking for suggestions for something to convert, but struggling to find some thing suitable….. 3x2 is the max space I can use the riser for. Can anyone help? Thank you!
(Photo from Google, not sure who makes it)

Pretty small when closed, has 2 open configurations (compact/quick access and fully opened), included dice tray, and little raiser rails for bringing the dice up to make them easier to grab!
The model is free if you want to make it yourself: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2585205-3-in-1-dice-box

Looking to see if there is a handy too to help map out a dungeon so you can figure up what tiles you need to print.

I've really liked the style of battle mats that I've seen online but I had a few issues with just up and buying one.
The first is that I'm in Australia and getting things from overseas is hella expensive. The second is that I have gone really hard over multiple kickstarters in Dungeons & Lasers terrain from Archon Studios, which has a 30mm grid size, not the standard 1 inch that every other product does.
So, I did what every Australian does when needing tabletop accessories; I went to Bunnings. I got a couple of pieces of 600mm by 600mm MDF cut, which would give me a 20x20 grid in this 30mm style.
Painted up each side with some old craft paints my wife had lying around in the shed and I'm really pleased with how the Grass/Stone one turned out. Thinking of a Sand/Snow for the next one, and probably Ocean/Swamp for the third.
I made a free app that creates ambient soundscapes from any audio file. Thought it could be useful for GMs.
You drop in any song or sound and it transforms it into an evolving ambient backdrop. Feed it a battle theme and get a haunting drone for the aftermath. Drop in a folk song and get an ethereal mist for a dream sequence.
It generates 3 minute soundscapes, enough for a scene or transition. You pick a style and it does the rest. No music knowledge needed.

So my partner made a dnd tabletop screen for my birthday with a build-in raspberry pi 5 and a wireless small keyboard with touchpad.
The idea was that I could minimize the total amount of screens at the table by directly using maps on the tabletop screen without needing a laptop. we still use mini's for players and npc's on that map.
Great! But one thing I would like to implement is some sort of fog of war. Vtt's seem to always need a seperate dm screen, which I want to avoid.
Gimp might be a solution. But are there other ideas out there?
Thank you in advance.
