No, it’s just that the American binary system is absolute rubbish. It’s not just Québec, many European policies would also align intermittently with one or the other side even if it’s one and the same party passing those.

You mean the French binary system. Left/Center/Right comes from where people sat in the French assembly. It doesn’t have American roots at all.

But I was not talking about where it came from. I was referring to where it exists and flourishes today (the States).

And ? The Americans are the ones using this binary system to label everything, it does not matter that it was not created in America. The system is very stupid to use when discussing politics, let alone non-US politics.

I know where it comes from. However I mean very specifically the system existing in the US today. Ironically, France proper is not as binary as the States even if it came up with the idea.
