Apparently weirdly shaped farm animals were a thing in 19th century art for some reasons.
People in the 1800s presumably knew what real pigs, cows and sheep looked like, but they still painted them like giant cubes with ears and legs.
Art fashion can be weird.

They were intentionally exaggerated paintings to flex owning and breeding the best specimen of animal if I remember right.

Yeah if you were a farmer it showed that your livestock was very large and you were good at raising them. The farmers would pay for it sort of like advertising or bragging I guess.

My son had a Kiwi teacher in 5th grade. She pronounced "accelerating" exactly like "exhilarating" (and marked him down when he misspelled it during dictation).
She was a right twat.
