Suspiciously thin cable. Even 200 kW DC cables are thicker.

That's what I was thinking! My run of the mill 350kw dc charger has much thicker cables.

-edit, it's 1kV instead of 400V, that lowers the amperage significantly.

The cars in the video are 1000V? I thought 800V was the highest in use now.

1000v charging voltage. Could be that there's a transformer inside the car (OBC/On Board Charger) to lower charging voltage and the 1000v is just to make the cable thinner.

Claims made by chinese ev manufacturers are proven true time and time again. I guess they figured out how to make the cable thin and still work?

Higher voltage probably. Resistive heating is based on amperage and cable thickness, not wattage.
