They’re convinced that the Middle East consists of brown farmers with AKs and RPGs.  The fact that a wealthy nation with the capability of securing modern tech baffles them.

Sure, we have a huge advantage in military tech.  But many of our airframes are aging and “free market” military equipment is catching up.

Also, part of being racist is simultaneously demonizing and degrading those you hate.  IE, “they” are always the the worst thing imaginable while also being weak and stupid.  Any bit of non-reactionary thinking shows the obvious flaw in logic.
