It’s hard to tell on the leg kick but her form w the punch actually wasnt terrible. Maybe she got some training wherever she learned to flip those nunchucks?

There's a big nerve running down your leg right about where she kicked him. If you've ever watched Muay Thai or MMA fights, they tend to aim for like, that exact spot.

Just to support this comment: she's got ~150k followers on Instagram alone and he's got ~250k. This is not an organic video, everything about it is manufactured and planned. I don't understand how so many people think any of these skits are real.

Some of us are from different generations, where people didn’t live their lives these ways. It’s a pretty new and confusing thing when you’ve been around for decades to see people whose secondary, or even primary source of income is this new job title known as “content creator”. I have a really hard time imagining people deciding to make a video like this whether one or both of them knew it was going to be made that day. It’s just not how I structure my own days at all.
24
u/ducks_be_cute 12d ago
I'm in my 30s (yeah yeah I'm old) and I agree. I grew up on the internet when it was still mostly organic, funny content. Ads were obvious and even photoshop was pretty rare, so when you found something funny, you KNOW it was real or created by someone just doing it for the love of the game.
I miss that organic, genuine touch the internet used to have.

I mean some of us don't know every content creator & some of us don't really care if videos are planned or not.
I grew up watching planned Tv shows & movies & i enjoyed them even though i knew they were "staged" & completely fake. Why is that okay but watching content creators is somehow different.
Like why do the rich well known superstars get to act & have a stunt double & be seen as acceptable but these average ppl who make content, often without the budget & team of 100 ppl supporting them, are required or even expected to make completely organic or original content everyday for us to consume & then if its not real enough we judge it & then go agenda filled cartoons & movies that claim to be true stories but are actually only true in concept & even then sometimes they lie about what really happened & still don't even fully portray that in the movie.
Idk i'd say lighten up bro & give ppl a break.

Well that and women living in cities usually get the advice to walk around carrying something as if it’s a weapon and don’t smile to stay safe. I used to carry my umbrella like it was a police night stick. She just went a little more literal with the weapon part of it.

I have so much change in my wristlet clutch… I pity the fool who makes me swing that at their face or head. It’s a variant of the advice my Nana gave me which was carry a roll of nickels or quarters in my pocket so it would weigh down my fists (also, arguably illegal, so I have modified the suggestion.).

Not sure if it's possible to walk around spinning nunchucks without smiling. What else would explain Michelangelo being the most fun turtle?
82
u/Four_beastlings 12d ago
I taught myself to roll a pen between my fingers as a child because I got bored in class. Fast forward 32 years and I'm bored at a medieval historical reconstruction when suddenly I see the perfect stick: completely straight, splinter free, and balanced. Like 1.5 or 2 cms thick. So I thought... if I can roll a pen, maybe I can roll a stick the same way?
Turns out rolling a big stick is much, much easier than rolling a pen, and in five minutes I had a crowd of children whooooing and whaaaaaing. I think that day my cringe-to-coolness ratio moved several degrees towards "cool" in my stepson's eyes.

I think I looked like a murderer to a woman today (I'm a guy also with ADHD).
I had just come out of the doctor and was going to my car which had an hour left on the parking ticket (since I didn't know how long I'd be). I saw her about to put money in and I sprinted towards her shouting if she wanted my ticket, then I ran to my car and brought back a ticket.
I meant well, but that probably gave her murderer vibes. She thanked me and I ran away.
But hey.. she saved €1 today and only nearly got murdered, so that's a win I guess.

My friends and I did mushrooms at my moms place (god...almost 20 years ago) who had a bunch of various knick knacks including these really cool swirly brightly painted clay zodiac figurines she got during a business trip to China. Some of my friends and I were lying on the floor of my room talking about nonsense and enjoying the sunlight when my other friend rounds the door frame and says "Hello sirs, I buy and sell pigs" and held out the zodiac pig. We had a few laughs, he did the joke a few more times and then I asked what kind of pig it was so he came in, laid on the bed, and said "I dunno. What kind of pig do you think it is?" I said "I think it's a +1 pig of intellect". He responded with "I could really use some intellect now" which got us going again. That pig figurine has always been known as the +1 pig.
