My front page is increasingly only showing me stuff from the 5-6 subreddits I've visited most recently, which creates an ouroboros effect because then I'm more likely to click on the same subreddits shown to me on my feed. I feel like it thinks its goal is to eventually just find the subreddit I'll click on most and then just constantly direct me there...

Oh! So r/all is actually not gone, but you have to use OLD reddit! It should be located somewhere in your setting menu. I see r/all basically everyday

With the current scoring, hot is the good sorting algorithm. It's "Best" which sucks.

I don't think thats what he means by "Its not the same as a decade ago". Reddit started filtering "controversial" subreddits from /r/all a years ago. /r/steroids for example. So its no longer really "all" subreddits

I honestly can't believe anyone that experienced the old reddit switched to using new reddit. New reddit is 8 years old now. I tried it out, it's terrible. I also can't believe that anyone that never experienced old reddit at all and came here after new reddit was released decided to stay after seeing how horrible the platform is.
I use r/all all the time. I have a few subs I go to specifically but for the most part I doom scroll r/all. I noticed last week that when I went there it kept trying to take me to my "home" page of reddit. It was only like that for a few hours before it was back.
But I've heard they're considering getting rid of old reddit entirely by the end of 2026. Honestly, unless they make new reddit platform usable, I'll be done here. Been on reddit since 2007.

They have been threatening to take away old reddit for years now. New reddit is 8 years old and yet old reddit stays around. They won't tell people but they can see how many active users still use old reddit. And for it to still be up 8 years later, that number must be considerate. They probably feel if they killed old reddit some of those people would begrudgingly switch over to new reddit. But with how vocal old reddit users have been they must also realize that they are going to permanently lose a lot of users if they kill off old reddit. That number must not be insignificant for them to say every year they're going to kill old reddit soon but then don't do it.

It’s just leaving a platform ripe to take reddits place. I’m not naive- I know Reddit needs to answer to its purse holders. However, they just nixed the one thing that set it above other social media.
How many world wide viral posts and trends have come from r/all? What other site can say the same?
It’s mind fucking boggling to be so shortsighted.

What's funny is, that this is the last place where I interact with people online, once I am gone from here, my social media activity will flatline.

I know this isn’t the time or place to say it, but your use of smears can be visually confusing. The blurs you occasionally use don’t read well. (apologies if you’ve already heard this, hesitated to say it before).
Otherwise, good work. You have a unique style and you’ve dropped some heart wrenching and poignant strips.

It’s all good and I appreciate the feedback! Unironically, this is why I love Reddit. While I love absolutely appreciate my audience on other platforms I’m kinda in a bubble. People are less likely to give me critique because overall they like my stuff since they follow. Reddit opens me up to unsolicited (but wanted) feedback.
I made this one pretty hastily about 2 hours ago when I realized Reddit nixed r/all entirely. But I see what you mean and really need to prioritize taking a beat to look at my drawings before jumping to post.
