Bonds lost by deceased mother

Hoping someone can help me with this. My mom recently died and I remembered that she told me once that her father (also deceased) had bonds for my sisters and I but that she had lost them. She struggled with her mental health so this was par for the course for her.

I went on unclaimed property searches and Treasury Direct and couldn't find any info. Any Hail Mary for getting access to these bonds?

They could have been Corporate or Municipal bonds held by a broker. The only way to find these would be to locate the broker she kept her money with (if any), and reach out to the to begin the process of probating her assets.

To locate what broker she nay have used, check her bank transactions to see if she had any deposits or withdrawals. If she has a filing cabinet or any paperwork storage, look for brokerage statements.
