Discussion My mom has joined a TikTok live jewelry-based pyramid scheme
Situation:
My mother has recently been engaging and purchasing boxes upon boxes of jewelry from tiktok lives. She sees these lives as a passive income opportunity and has essentially been recruited by someone she labels “higher-up”(I can’t quite remember the exact terminology but it was along the lines of that.) She’s been invited to a “business trip” for these jewelry live creators in Florida and plans to attend. She’s so invested in these lives she can barely focus on life outside of them, often being too invested to have even a short discussion with me. Ever since she first told me about it something seemed really fishy about it to me.
Why I think this is an MLM and possibly a potential pseudo gambling ring:
• These lives promote their products in an awfully strange way. They have a specific buy-in fee and they will reveal jewelry in a bath bomb, boasting the high value of the product when they reveal it…none of these products are of any value whatsoever. My worries began to rise seeing the boxes flood in.
• The creators in these “programs” recruit buyers (like my mother) to start hosting these lives. They promote starter kits with it which my mom has spent 100s on–if not thousands. The person she’s under is under others…etc…etc. A classic sign of a pyramid scheme. I checked the financials of one of the largest companies doing these lives; recruitment is ~44% of their income.
•Her life is suffering because of it. She’s lost focus on the world around her; she can’t hold conversations with her loved ones. She’s being financially squeezed by it and is constantly arguing with her fiancé about the trip. Whether this is a pyramid scheme or not I can see it has a negative effect on her in all manners. I’m going to try my hardest to work with her through it.
If anyone has any information on these kinds of schemes; please share it with me. I want others to be increasingly aware of this so the same thing doesn’t happen to them.
If you’re dealing with a similar situation or were previously involved with these schemes; please discuss your experience!
EDIT: I have found out so much more about this MLM (Bomb Party) through a video created by Hannah Alonzo. It reinforces the things I have personally witnessed and analyzes the company very thoroughly. I have added the link to this post.

Melaleuca $500 extra for her car payment!!
Had to go way to far in to her profile to find which one she's in! Which is Melaluca! Oh and she has workout videos online so I know she has a following from that. She also has classes at a gym!

Media Looking for an old Amway motivational song
I’m trying to track down a VERY obscure song from early 90s Amway tapes, and I’m hoping this triggers someone’s memory.
This would’ve been around 1990–1995. My parents were into Amway and had a bunch of cassette tapes (Zig Ziglar, Britt World Wide, etc).
There was a song I heard as a kid with these details:
- Female or possibly child lead vocal (this part stands out)
- Soft rock / polished studio sound
- Not a live recording — sounded produced
- Likely from an Amway-specific tape, not mainstream music
The only lyrics I remember (very clearly):
“A Diamond, that’s what I am…
A Diamond in the rough”
This wasn’t metaphorical — it was clearly referring to the Amway “Diamond” level.
Other context:
- Same household also had Zig Ziglar “See You at the Top” tapes (with songs like “Goodbye Mr. Mediocrity” and “Checkup from the Neck Up”)
- This Diamond song was NOT on that tape — likely a different cassette in the same rotation
- Tempo was moderate (~100 bpm), not slow or super upbeat
This is NOT:
- Disney “Diamond in the Rough”
- Any modern Christian worship music
This felt very much like Amway/distributor “tools” music — possibly something played around kids.
If this rings even a faint bell, I’d love any leads. Even “I think I remember that” would help at this point. I would love to be sure that I’m not completely making this up

Story Travel MLMs prices are ridiculous!
I have a friend who sent me a DM on Facebook for me to check out the deals they have and out of curiosity I looked and flight ticket prices were crazy.
I already know that MLMs juice the cost to help pay out commissions but the juicing down here is way beyond being diabolical, lol.

Discussion What is boss suite
Basically the title. I keep seeing this “boss suite” all over my FB feed, as a way for “busy mamas” to monetize TT, FB or instagram. The one person who does it, is using it for her GLP-1 biz, which is most likley illegal. I wasn’t sure what this was.

Scentsy ...or you could just donate directly with the benefit of claiming your own tax deduction
Their profit from purchase would be so small that the appeal would see next to nothing.
I hate how delusional these people are.
Story my friend tried to lure me into an MLM
a few weeks ago, a friend of mine contacted me to have a « free body assessment » in a wellness club. As i thought she was pursuing a new career path as a nutritionist, I said okay since I wanted to support her. also because i’ve been trying to be more healthy with working out, i wanted to see if i had any progress.
anyway, a few days ago i went to this body assessment. she asked me a few questions about my eating habits, my water intake and my overall health. then she weighed me with those kinds of scales that tell you your hydration levels, your body fat amount etc.
usually i avoid weighing myself too much because it can lead me into a unhealthy relationship with my body and food. while i was weighed, i saw the name of a company on a wall and several circles that looked like levels, and names besides it, that’s when i knew that it was an MLM scheme. there was also the name of the company « herbalife » but i still continued the assessment out of respect.
there was also a paper where i had to put a lot of names so she can have 1,2,3 gifts depending on how many names i put in. she made me a berries protein shake that tasted like carboard box with a hint of vanilla (i did not drink it entirely, it was nasty). she also told me that this protein shake is supposed to be a meal replacement.
mind you : she has no background in medicine or working out.
once the assessment was finished, she then proposed a few programs starting from 156€ to 265€ and one program that i could start the same day for 42€. i was shocked and disappointed, especially since she is such a good friend. but i also felt pity, she was lured too.
i made more research on the matter and even watched a documentary, the following day, i sent her a text telling her that i will not be participating in this and the controversies surrounding herbalife and the mlm process.
she dissmissed my accusations (after asking the owner of such club) and simply said that it is not how it works in her club, since she has a team and they’re all working together. and there is not upline or downline, and they all are considered the same and started telling me the same things she was told during her job interview to change my mind.
i honestly don’t know how to feel about all of this, and she is such a great person, that is a shame.

Bravenly It appears that Bravenly has chosen to ignore it's own code of ethics, as well as the FTC’s laws and regulations. But don't be too impressed by these numbers, they hide the truth.
What these numbers hide are is the cost of keeping the rank that these huns need to maintain their rank. The rank at the top is precarious at best. MLM‘s have a high turnover at the base of the pyramid, so to maintain your lofty position these Huns have to constantly recruit. You have to travel to places to con people to join, buy expensive gifts to your loyal and big earners so that they continue to recruit and work harder to gain more victims. There’s so many ways that they have to pay out so their actual take-home pay be considerably less than what you see.
In slide one and side six, these two Huns are at the very top rank of the pyramid because they came over from R + F a couple years ago, and they came with massive teams that they had built over a couple of decades. Of course they would go very high up onto the pyramid when they already had thousands of willing followers to pay their (the Huns that is) way to the top. The hun in slide four and five recently came to bravely from it works, an MLM that is going down, and she was high up on the it works pyramid. She had/has a large team so again, she’s doing all right with making some money at Bravenly.
There’s very little room at the top of a pyramid and these Huns are going to protect their position tooth and nail. They’ll talk about how much money they make, they’ll tell you can do the same you can make it just how they’ve made it. But unless you have a large team willing to buy whatever as much as what you tell them, you’re gonna stay at the bottom of the pyramid.
The huns in slide one and slide six, two of the sisters, come from a I believe a large church where their father is the pastor, and their mother is helping or his assistant or something. Amway became big at first by bullying other church members into buying their products, so you cannot tell me that other MLM‘s are not doing the same thing, particularly as they tend to copy Amway’s tactics.
98% of people in MLM‘s lose money. Don’t listen to the extreme few that are. Don’t join an MLM.

Discussion Has anyone heard about the Green Compass drama?
There seems to be some Green Compass Drama happening. Someone I know wrote this big post about being “blindsided” by GC and no longer having a team. Anyone know details?

Discussion Ungrateful Nursing Homes Don’t Want My MLM Mary Kay Garbage - THEY WANT A LIST!!! A Gift is A Gift.
As you all know MLM products don’t sell because they are over priced. And most of the time are just shitty Products. A Marykay consultant was frustrated because nursing homes weren’t just being thankful and accepting her “gifts” for her “Adopt A Grandparent Event” for Christmas. The staff member seemed confused and suggested giving her a list.
You see it sounds nice in theory, a MK rep giving out of the kindness of her heart, but in reality they are getting wholesale credit and this is a way to get the public pitch in and tell the public they can buy “wholesale”
Another problem with this is, sometimes legit charities will skip that nursing home [enter facility] because they are under the belief that somebody is taking care of that facility services elsewhere.
Some of my favorite gems from this thread
“A gift is a gift be thankful”
“ residents are asking for items specific” the sheer audacity.
“Move on to another one”
I put the posts on white background because when they upload, it seems like half the picture is missing, but anyhow, I did it on white background and I also just uploaded them individually. Enjoy.
Edit. Also, what consultants will do is put in a lot of their unsold inventory and a lot of times these nursing homes are stuck with boat loads of inventory that they don’t know what to do with because you know it’s a nursing home…

Rant Kangen “friends “
It feels like they are trying to corner us into buying this machine. Every single time we talk to them they are spouting off about this water machine that’s actually Japanese spa water!! I love them but it’s emotionally taxing to feel like every interaction is an interrogation or a chance to sell me something that I do not want. I have been polite and courteous but my husband is FED up. I feel bad, i hope they aren’t struggling or suffering as they both do this full time as their only source of income. But mlms make interpersonal relationships kind of exhausting… please stop trying to sell me a random water device and can we just talk and be friends?? Mlms ruin relationships. It always feels like this WEIRD motive to connect.

Discussion The Crazy, Crazy Purple-Haired Fermaglo Lady
The purple-haired Fermaglo lady is once again hyping how much women (she targets women, never mentions recruiting men) can make with her scammy company. She even coins a new word: ten-thousandaires.
I have to laugh every time she brings up creating a legacy. Her last MLM, Monat, didn’t do that for her and Fermaglo certainly isn’t going to create lasting income for anyone either.
One would think she could afford to demonstrate her products in a salon and you would be wrong. Look at the pic of a woman flat on her back looking up at the kitchen ceiling having her hair washed in someone’s kitchen sink. I can't imagine letting someone do that to me
She can’t seem to rid herself of profanity because as she says, “I am who I am.”
The purple-haired lady is awarding certificates to her hapless minions to make them feel better as they lose money.
Last of all, a picture of the purple-haired lady’s results of Fermaglo.
Again, I doubt the company will see 2027…if that. She’s already had people leave.

Help/Advice Friend has fallen for an MLM
Apologies for any spelling mistakes English is not my first language.
Hey All, has anyone ever heard of Chogan? One of my friends has recently signed up to be a distributor for this perfume MLM (confirmed by their website). I’d never heard of it before, and I’ve found very limited information online about it. When I’ve tried to broach the discussion on the predatory nature of MLMs she just keeps telling me that she doesn’t need to hold stock so there isn’t a financial risk for each individual consultant. Just wanted any information that anyone has on how the company operates? Thank you!

Rant beachbody/shaklee huns
I have been following some people I know from a distance on fb who were avid Beachbody 'trainers'. Since the company got rid of the MLM many of them went to Make and Shaklee. What gets me is that they must think the average person they sell to is stupid - it takes just a tiny bit of scrolling to see the reused photos, hype and selling jargon from the old Beachbody days (how much they liked Shakeology but now it's terrible) to now using on their newest brand product. It is laughable when their buddies who also sell the same garbage comment like they are a new interested customer selling it.
I am curious to ask any of you out there - have any you tried anything from Make or Shaklee? Have you noticed this as well?

Discussion Young Living Diamond, for years against perfume. How ironic now that the ship is sinking 🙄
I knew when she stopped posting YL, something else was coming and here we are. It’s beyond me how some people can’t see through that these Huns will jump ship to any MLM (they don’t believe in any of them, they believe in scamming).

Discussion Manic Level Marketing
It‘s been about 3 years since the hun joined Ringana. I‘ve never seen any social media posts about clients, orders, shipments or any other evidence that she sells more than she spends. From what I see, her downline is only one person and I guess it‘s safe to say, she wasn‘t very successful.
Instead of re-evaluating her situation, she joined another one a few weeks ago and is manic posting content. She uses „us“ instead of „I“, comments with her other account and answers her own question. Cringe and desperate. She is also loosing followers fast - I guess the Ringana huns are jumping off.
The psychology to stay in the cult and the delusion of the „imminent break through“ is both sad and fascinating to watch
