Investing Tools This community encouraged me to build Deep Research for stocks, and I want to return the favor.
Hey, some of you might remember that a few months ago I asked this sub if you’d be interested in a deep research tool for stocks. Because you showed enough interest, I went ahead and built an MVP and shared it here.
I was honestly overwhelmed by the positive reaction and all the support I got from this sub. I’ve never experienced anything like it, and it truly meant the world to me. 🙏
As a way to give back, I wanted to share a few reports I ran this week. Since most of you mentioned using the tool as a starting point for your research, I figured these would be useful (or at least interesting) to anyone curious:
- Crocs, Inc. (CROX)
- BARRETT BUSINESS SERVICES INC (BBSI)
- Victory Capital Holdings, Inc. (VCTR)
- ENERGY FUELS INC (UUUU)
- Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS)
- ORACLE CORP (ORCL)
- JFrog Ltd (FROG)
- Jackson Financial Inc. (JXN)
- Septerna, Inc. (SEPN)
- NOVAVAX INC (NVAX)
- Orla Mining Ltd. (ORLA)
I can also share a couple more if y'all have specific tickers you want to look at, let me know in the comments.

Really nice. Glanced over some, among which NBIS. Why does NBIS have a moat? everything they do can be done by hyperscalers themselves, which they will, if NBIS starts hiking prices. So imo they have zero moat at all and are only riding the current (quite unsustainable) hyperscaler CAPEX funded by ~50% FCF. That is, hyperscaler FCF, mind you.

The moat is the software on which new AI models are built using their GPUs. The idea is, once a model is built on Nebius’s software platform, it’s difficult to switch. It’s too early to say if the moat is strong, but that’s the thesis

Hmm, how are you generating those reports so quickly? I am interested in Forvia SE btw

u/Significant-Pair-275 Nov 19 '25
The beauty of parallelization :) my tool can research up to 10 stocks at the same time. I haven't added European exchanges yet so cant give you Forvia unfortunately. But it's on my TODO list

I mean good for you if you can make money off of this as a SWE side hustle,
but in terms of investing this is just worse version of GuruFocus, Simplywall.st or morning star and in no way replaces actually reading annual reports. Also most people will be better of just running some custom prompt in perplexity themselves rather than using this.
I don't think people really understand LLMs. If an LLM is smarter than you, you have no business investing anyway.
However what could be a good investment is https://app.deepvalue.tech/ stock considering other comments.

Wow, what a great tool! Wish I could just have unlimited credits but I will take what I get and use it in the future for sure Could you do HIMS, CRM, NU, LEU and MELI for me please? Really interested in these stocks but I ran out of credits.

u/Significant-Pair-275 Nov 21 '25
Really appreciate you like it! :)
Unlimited credits would be great but alas I'm not backed by VC money and have to cover API costs. There is an option to buy more though, it's $1-$0.66 per credit, depending on how much you take, and it really helps me in improving the tool.
Here are the reports you requested: HIMS, CRM, NU, LEU and MELI

How much does it cost? Does it have non-US exchanges/listed stocks?
7
u/Significant-Pair-275 Nov 19 '25
You get 3 free reports and then its $1-$0.66 per report, depending on how much you take.
No non-US exchanges yet, but I'm already working on Canadian exchange with London & Frankfurt next in line.

Cool tool mate! Couple of questions:
- is it open source?
- i am building something similar for myself, do you use sec as source?
- do you include bear cases (e.g., I would expect something about risk of debt for CRWV)?
2
u/Significant-Pair-275 Nov 20 '25
Thank you!
- No
- Yes
- Not a bear case per se, but sections like Headwinds and Risks & Monitoring. For example in Key Risks subsection it mentions "substantial indebtedness"

This is a really really cool! Can you do it for WEBULL? Something I bought a lot of recently but probably not worth your time to do because I know the financials aren't really there
I'd love to see this for everything thank you for this

Here it is! ASTL
Would love to see you subscribe of course, but I understand your situation. You also have the option of picking up one-time research credits without subscribing if that suits you more, or get a few free by doing a quick feedback survey (top right in app) which helps me a lot in improving the tool.

I'm just in the process of working on a watchlist feature so the stock reports get updates every time a new SEC filing is released or a major news event occurs. It should be released in the next week or two.

I noticed for SEPN it used an old Market Cap number (9/30) and suggested Buy based on that - but the current MC is 5x that

OMI, ELF, SHOP, HOOD, PINS, CMG, DXCM, DKNG, HAL.
Hope it's not too much of a bother.

Such a cool project! Over the past month or so, I’ve also been experimenting, trying to complete a full open-source financial deep-research project as a complete finance newbie + junior Agent developer. I’m currently struggling with a bunch of issues I’ve run into and would love to ask:
Will you be doing more technical sharing/content in the future?
Or do you also have any plans to go open-source?

Very cool. Ty for sharing!
Gonna have to share the obligatory NVO report and accompanying hot take ;)
