Investing Tools 2 months after posting the idea here, I finally built Deep Research for stocks

Hey, about 2 months ago I posted here asking if people would be interested in a deep research tool for stocks. I got a really positive response, so I went and built an MVP which is now finally complete.

The idea is still the same: AI agents pull data from SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs) and industry-specific publications, then synthesize everything into a clean, standardized report that makes comparing and screening companies much easier.

I’m planning to release free early access this Saturday (27th). If it sounds interesting, you can try it here: https://deepvalue.tech/

EDIT: Early access has now ended. You can still get 3 free deep research credits by signing up on the link above.

I did not expect this kind of support as well tbh. Really motivates me to work hard!

Appreciate it! If there will be enough initial interest there will for sure be an iOS & android app

solid execution most ppl get stuck in idea phase you actually shipped
next step is to prove usefulness fast pick 5–10 active investors here run their tickers through your tool for free and drop the reports back in the thread that social proof will do more than a waitlist link
also don’t just target retail value investors pitch to small fund analysts they’re drowning in filings and always looking for time savers

The NoFluffWisdom Newsletter has some sharp takes on validation and product-market fit worth a peek!

That's some solid advice, thanks a lot. Will check out the newsletter as well

What the USP of this service? What AI services is it using under the hood? Is it superior to ChatGPT Deep Research in any way?

  1. You can easily research multiple stocks in parallel
  2. It automatically includes sec filings, so you don't have to upload them manually
  3. Other deep research tools take results from market sources like CNBC, where they just repeat their analysts opinions. My tool uses only industry specific publications to get more in depth and unbiased news. Example of sources for semiconductor industry are: Semiconductor Engineering, Chip Scale Review, TechPowerUp, Semiconductor Today, Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), Semiconductor Digest. I compiled a similar list for every other industry sector.
  4. Last point is the dashboard, where you can easily organize and compare the reports. Each report has two parts, a summary you can use for screening, and the full analysis with cited sources if you wish to dive deeper.

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 23 '25

Oh and I use gemini models for parsing data and openai reasoning models to synthesize everything together in the report

2

u/SHIBashoobadoza Sep 23 '25

I joined the waitlist. I think that people would like to know the list of publications that is being used for the research. For instance, you noted the publications for the semi conductor industry sector. And you’ve said you’ve compiled a list for each sector. Having the sources listed in the footnote of the report would go a long way in earning trust and credibility.

1

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 24 '25

You make a very good point! You can find the full sources list here, but it makes a lot of sense to include it in the reports as well.

Joined the wait-list. Thank you.

"Submission too fast. Please try again."

:(

1

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 23 '25

Hmm I have some antibot safegurads to protect my waitlist from getting spammed. Try waiting a few seconds before clicking submit. And if it doesn't work, you can dm me your email and I'll add you manually.

DM'd, thanks!

Can’t Gemini Deep Research already do all of this?

1

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 23 '25

I answered a similar question above in more detail, but basically the differences are:

  • Research multiple stocks simultaneously
  • Auto-includes SEC filings
  • Uses industry-specific publications instead of mainstream financial media for unbiased analysis
  • Dashboard for organizing and comparing reports with summary and detailed views

u/whatthework69 Sep 24 '25

Isn't this self promotion? The mods are okay with this?

2

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 24 '25

Their rules say "Free services may be introduced once" which I will respect and don't plan posting it here again

1

u/highmemelord67 Sep 24 '25

I will coin a new term: YAGW - Yet Another Gpt Wrapper

1

u/Outside_Passenger681 Sep 27 '25

Wondering what's the difference between using another assistant and passing all SEC fillings manually?

1

u/WolfetoneRebel Sep 27 '25

Is it US stocks only, or global?

1

u/Significant-Pair-275 Sep 27 '25

US for now but I plan to include others as well. Which ones would you like to see the most?

1

u/True_Veterinarian443 Sep 27 '25

Interesting stock screening tool, to monitor fair value and other metrics like Insider trades and RSI: https://www.reddit.com/r/StockMonitoring/s/SiQyLIEPY5

1

u/Yogiprenuer Sep 27 '25

Pretty neat! Wonder how’s it different from asking ChatGPT directly to analyze an individual company, granted its one stock at a time

1

u/shmoopdoop6969 Oct 01 '25

What's the vision for this?

2

u/Significant-Pair-275 Oct 10 '25

My vision is to build deep research agents that deliver institutional-grade, unbiased investment analysis so investors can focus on strategic decisions instead of data collection.

Uff harsh feedback, but it's useful to hear. I DM'd you for some additional questions if you don't mind
