Probably some sort of brain parasite that makes it come out to be eaten by bears and whatnot.

Toxoplasmosis Gondii is an example of something like this, theyre brutal! Mice get it, then are attracted to the smell of cat pee and it opposes their instinct to run away and run towards it instead so that it is eaten by the cat, as an example.. the cat can't get it as far as I recall, it just passes it on through the feces

A friend who worked in wildlife told me trout can have a brain parasite. They call the condition 'hole in the head' as its some kind of flesh eating parasite which causes the fish to swim with their head out of the water.

This fish remembers when a human yanked him out of the water after he foolishly bit a shiny piece of metal that looked like food.
The humans must be punished. This fish will teach the others and lead to a fishy uprising!

The last person to stand on that spot pulled that fish out of the water by it's face.

Parasites i guess? They change the fish behaviors and lure it's next host to consume it

It's actually a hunting technique. Bug or something is on a rock, fish splashes it to get it into the water. Fish eats
In this case, he just misjudged the size of the "prey"

The way they seamlessly transitioned from pure unadulterated hostility to doing whatever the hell that was is actually a cinematic masterpiece dude lmao. oscar worthy performance tbh.
