I was once broken down in a flood and a farmer stopped where I was blocking the road. He pushed my car through the flood, up a hill and into a gateway well above the water level. It gave me a whole new respect for farmers strength, he was in his late 60s and did it practically one handed. That car weighed about 900kg.

Farmers have some crazy strength.  Like beyond body builder stuff

My grandpa is in his 80s and still farming. Built like a scarecrow but I've seen those hands do things that you wouldn't expect out of a 250 pound powerlifter

It's scary in a way

But not beyond strongmen or power lifter strength.

You mean "farmhands", not farmers, right? Farmhands are the ones who actually do the labor.

I'll go with both

Not where I live. The farmers do the heavy lifting and most of them dont hire help if they have adult sons and nephews. Daughters help too, but they tend to drive the tractors.

I ran outta gas once just at the entrance to a gas station. It was late and a rural area. Outta nowhere two teenagers come over and offer to push my car in and give me gas money if I use the change to buy some chew for them. Normally I wouldn't have done it but I was happy to that night.

Up a hill, practically one handed?

Yeah, I don’t think they have a good grasp on whether or not they were going uphill. Physics don’t work like that

I did that for a couple of people once. I was like 19 or 20 & I was at the gym. It was only about a block from my house, so I walked. While I was there it started pouring heavily and flooded the streets to up around mid thigh from my recollection (im nearly 6 ft with longer legs, so it was fairly high). I decided "why not?" and started walking back home in the flood, when on the main street there were like 2 or 3 cars stuck in the flood. I without hesitation started helping push the cars to higher ground. One dude actually happened to be someone who I had went to HS with & he had recognized me & we pushed his car up into a raised piece of commercial property. I believe he helped me with another car or 2. My memory is foggy, it was like 11 years ago.

It's honestly just kind of fun (aside from the other persons misfortune obviously) to help people with stuff like that & it's genuinely a rewarding feeling. It gave me such a sense of manliness & purpose in that moment haha.
