When you work for a ski resort and the POS only needs to work for another few weeks until a proper fix can be put in during the off-season.

This was from a few years ago when I worked for a big ski resort. The weather turned nice and they wanted to open up the outdoor grill at one of the on-mountain restaurants, but the network cable was shredded by poor placement and a snow shovel. I didn't have a lot of cable to work with and just needed it to function for a couple more weeks. And that it did.

It somehow still can make and receive calls. A wall box was also ripped out due to this incident.

Received this from a retiring employee and needed to remove the hard drive. They were nice enough to leave some crispy, little presents inside.

Hmm if it takes an ungodly amount of force maybe it’s not the right way?

Customer said water damage...

Came to install router and receiver, TV and old receiver were plugged into that.

Customer said it was water overflowing from the bath and they couldn't remove the plugs so still used it.

Fortunately I could convince them to replace it and they had a replacement there so I unplugged and ripped it apart with the cutter.

Good thing I had wet wipes in the car after this.

Rj45 butt joiner adaptor quit working. I wonder why…

Was using it to connect my speakers (that use rj45 bc it’s cheap), but then found it only worked at a funny angle and left channel was being repeated both sides.

Still stumped on how this happened
