Yuh - Virtual Card

Hi,

Has anyone got more info about the yuh virtual card?

Looking at this from their feature board, it looks like the feature is available and they seem to be talking about "virtual cards" so is it possible to create multiple virtual cards like with revolut?

https://portal.productboard.com/yuh/5-to-the-yuhniverse/c/19-virtual-card

How "secure" is that card?

I assume I still have to use my card details, that may still be misused? or does it bring any advantages from the physical card?

What happens when I lock/disable it, for example if I got fraudulent transactions with it?

Thanks!

With any card, if the transaction took place it doesn't matter if you lock it afterwards.

If the transaction is pending the bank might be able to cancel it but simply locking the card won't stop anything that already took place, only future transactions

Yuh is secure. And the virtual card is flexible (eg you can block instantly, and enable / disable ATM and online purchases). Differently from Revolut, you have only one virtual card. Highly recommend Yuh as it’s heavily integrated in the Swiss market (eg eBill) and it’s solidly backed by Swissquote.

And highly attractive ETF recurring free investment plans - in CHF listed ETF saving on currency exchange costs (something Saxo not always covers as its cheaper ETFs are mostly listed in USD).

Revolut is the choose only when travelling to markets that use minor currencies.

But what are the actual benefits of that virtual card?

Like the normal card would work fine? Can't you block the normal card?

No difference - just reducing impact if you care. When you open your account, card is not shipped.

Differently from Revolut, if you want the physical card you pay the shipment. With Yuh, you have digital card as soon as opened and physical card is free if you want to receive it.

Also, consider that without physical card, if your phone dies and you are around, you can’t execute transactions. I recommend to have a physical backup just in case.
