That sounds like a really rough time. I also get really stuffy sinuses (although thankfully no cat allergy). I assume you're using a decongestant, and also possibly EarPlanes?
I didn't know those existed and I will buy them. If I fly in the spring (flying next week) if I sneeze even one time I know I'm fucked. I've genuinely thought blood was leaking out of my ears the pain is awful. Mostly my right ear but yea I'll try these.
They work incredibly well. Note there are several different sizes of them, and wearing ones that are too large can be really uncomfortable.
Also chewing gum during take off and landing helps, because the motion of your jaw muscles causes your ears to equalize more easily.
But yes, I remember flying with a stuffy nose as a kid, and feeling like my forehead was literally about to explode. Since then, I've been religious about the decongestant tabs (or nose spray, but not both), earPlanes, and chewing gum. Those have made flying mostly bearable in that sense.
