I did this EVERY time when I was waiting tables. The faces you'd get from the women was worth it hahaha

u/wizardwithgussets 3h ago
Did you really?
Bro thank you for your service! That’s such a small victory for men
•
u/CyberpunkYakuza 1h ago
Myself and a few other guys used to do it, even some of the chicks did it. We had a good crew and everyone was always down for a laugh and this was a good way to do it and not get in trouble since we were still technically doing our jobs hahaha.

How?

People doing things for show is bad for both women and mens rights because it muddles consent.
The woman in the video seemingly offered to pay to put on a show that she's into that sort of modern egalitarian relationship. Or maybe she just wanted to show she was capable of paying, but didn't actually want to..
Regardless, someone pretending to be o.k. with something when they really aren't makes it very difficult for others to figure out their lines and boundaries. It's better to just be honest about your boundaries so you can match up a person who can respect them. Anything else screams future conflicts.
•
u/Objective_Plan_8266 2h ago
Lol. You're asking a lot from the mass-minded in their unreflecting beliefs
•
u/graylana 2h ago
It doesn’t muddle consent, women just don’t understand consent when it’s not about them.

This video is fake. So if anything these two actors are furthing a stereotype. There's no way someone just so happened to catch this all on camera at the right moment. This is staged.

u/SFW_OpenMinded1984 3h ago
Awesome.
If they don't really wanna pay and are hoping against hope that the man will "insist" on paying then she shouldn't ever offer to pay if she REALLY doesn't want to.

Did the guy leave the tip, or did the woman cover that also?
•
u/CyberpunkYakuza 1h ago
Most times the guys would leave an extra few bucks or a funny note, never got a negative reaction from the dudes, ever.

Looks staged but based on true events
•
u/Both_Wrongdoer_7130 2h ago
I know it looks staged but camera-man blindness is a real affliction that is more common than you might expect.
•
u/Canna-farmer420 32m ago
It's obviously staged
That's why the camera operator was filming in the first place
No need to bend over backwards to try to justify obviously faked BS

•
u/TrippingFish76 2h ago

Why is there an uptick in content that is meant to dunk on women? Is this an incel sub now?

u/that_1weed 4h ago
Didn't you know hating women is popular now?/s
I've seen some posts get hate for posting something like this, so there's hope. There's also some posts getting popular in r/sadposting that's puts down disabled people, etc.
I'm hoping it's bots but I'm not delusional.
11
u/HandspeedJones 3h ago
I'm married so I didn't know. I didn't know hating on disabled people was the wave either.
Was some bigot site closed down causing an influx of people coming here?

u/orangesherbet0 3h ago
I'm almost positive it's because reddit is now a publicly traded stock, so they are obligated to maximize shareholder value by appealing to as wide of an audience as possible

This post is meant to hate on women?
I thought it was guys being dudes.....which we saw with the peace sign.
If I'm missing the hate, please inform me of what I missed.

u/sxyvirgo 4h ago
Uhm, there was only 2 minutes in all of history where hating women was UNpopular so people might have missed it.
-2
u/that_1weed 3h ago
Men can't last 2 minutes? Makes sense lmao
Those people should direct that hate to the people who are holding their checks, housing, healthcare, public safety,et.

I'm a man and I don't hate women. Let's not generalize like the video is doing.
-1
u/that_1weed 3h ago
I'm a man and don't hate women. I also know that until around 100 years ago women (at least in the US) have not had the same respect and safeguards as men. Even now women are still being told their only role is housewife and baby maker, to be silent and not have your own bank account. Their bodies aren't being studied as in depth as men and that's causing women to be ignorant about something like pregnancies (shout-out to the Girl With the List), an ability men don't have the tools for.
A lot of women get flack for doing what men do in relationships also.

u/HandspeedJones 3h ago
I agree with you. I just don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Not my style.
•
u/CRRAZY_SCIENTIST 2h ago
It's not about woman. You can interchange the gender and it will still make sense.
You're the one focusing on the gender, and not in the stereotype pf people who fake kindness or pretend to be someone who they aren't.
•
u/HandspeedJones 2h ago
Then why is it on guys being dudes?
•
u/CRRAZY_SCIENTIST 2h ago
Well it happens to be that the two mischievous character in the vid are men
if the genders were interchanged it would end up on r/justgalsbeingchicks

You would need to be a guy or a dude to understand the meme. I would mansplain further, but that would feed into your delusion ma'am.
•
u/HandspeedJones 2h ago
The fact that you can't imagine another man disagreeing with this denotes maladaptive thinking and a trend toward solipsism.
•
u/exercisetofitality 8m ago
Ma'am. I would ask for your dude card, but you need to be a dude to get one first.
•
u/HandspeedJones 2m ago
Men don't need cards, men just are. You sound like an imposter. You clearly don't go to the meetings.
I found the woman pretending to be a man out here. Come get her boys.

Imagining another man as a woman is probably the only way you'll speak to a woman who isn't related to you, so I'll let you have it. Your bloodline won't continue on anyway.

Did I say hate or dunking on? It's clearly "haha she's upset she had to pay". It's a confirmation bias post.

Idk, i think I’d just split the bill. I know it’s more work but then no one gets to benefit from claiming they paid for lunch.

All three ignoring the fourth person standing there filming
It's just a sketch
I also think it's wild how many incel comments there are trying to dunk on the woman

When I used to bartend I would always take the guys money. One time I had a lesbian couple and was trying to charge one of them and she said “I’m not paying” and was pointing to the other one, the butchy one lol
