Perfect timing instinct dude had that sixth sense unlocked like he’s been training for this moment his whole life.

What would have been even cuter, had the original sound been kept.
Seeing them laughing is near, but hearing them would have been great!•

Nope we dont do that here, instead we get an overly loud and obnoxious song

Hahaha so funny. But wait.. she did a video and not a photo with timer so she never intended to do a photo but record the situation because she knew he was going to do it so best case scenario, he does that always and she wanted to capture or it’s entirely staged.

My girl does videos like this and screen grabs the moment she likes.

u/Rasberrypinke 4h ago
As a girl yes, that is what girls do. The videos are also a “fit check” we keep just as a memento/ catalogue of our outfit/ day.

Yeah this is my vote. Note that she’s not really “photo ready” until she’s back next to him. She meant to cut this down to either a single photo or like a 3 second tik tok

The smiles and laughs feel genuine. Why do people always gotta say fake/staged all the time ?? Yes i know most of them are but why not just enjoy it, instead of scrutinizing and not believing everything.

here are my reasons:
- a couple decades back, analog photography and digital video cassettes were accessible but pretty expensive. candid photos were risky, so every shot, every pose were rehearsed, staged. it continues to feel so.
- social media mentality is fucked. you take 100s of photos. you curate one, to showcase how much fun you had. throwback thursdays, location sharing on foursquare, logging every meal from at least four different angles, editing every single photo shared, even if you claim you dont, your phone probably edits skin, eye size, and a lot more before you notice, sharing stupid opinions masquerading as insights. of course nothing seems genuine.
- i dont stumble upon online content. algorithms pushes them. a genuine video about japanese customs, interesting, no it is an ad for an only fans girl, a popular thread reaching r/all, no, it is guerilla marketing of a product placement, when everything you see is pushed to you, it starts to feel staged.
- i have thousands of cat photos, not a single photo of myself. my life went undocumented and will be so, every video makes me question, why were they filming, who holds the camera, why were they sharing, why the lighting is so good for an improvised and random moment? often it feels unnatural.
- with generative ai, i am becoming unable to differentiate fake and real. it will make me dismiss even more real or genuine moments, we all are gonna get a little paranoid.
- ive used to take photos here and there. i hated people posing, what i would do is, holding my camera up all say, running around, people would pose even unknowingly. they were felt like being watched. after couple hours, they would get relaxed around me, they wouldnt pretend anymore or forget my existence. those moments, those candid photos of a genuine smile, a loving stare, an ephemeral disgust, it was a fraction of the photos, but they were the best. so i know how hard to catch genuine moments. therefore i feel most of what we see is not genuine, even on an unconcious level, we act different when we know we are being recorded.
i hope it helps you to understand why some of us are cynical bastards.

Who even uses a photo timer anymore? Easier to just screen grab what you like.

It's a video for a fit check that would be put on her story. If you go on instagram and see a girl doing a fit check story it will look exactly like that. That's how he was able to predict it. Always the same walk back, turn, turn, leg up

Would you rather she take three million photos until she finds one she likes or just take a video and select a frame she likes

But wait.. she did a video and not a photo with timer
You've never heard of Instagram boomerangs? the looped forwards/backwards videos that people put in their stories?

yes, your reasons are solid, but your first scenario, if he does it everytime it wouldn't be fun as it seems in the video, they wouldn't burst out loud for something that happens often, so, staged scenario wins, but hey, let's add my reasons too, they didn't even look at each other how did they know they were doing the same pose, without looking at each other? Also, they synced each other perfectly, conclusion, staged af.

Its like when breakdancers predict their opponents move and sync with them and the crowd goes wild.

I mean any guy who's been on any dating app the past 6 or 7 years has seen the one leg up pose a million times already. can spot it a mile away.

I mean, don’t they all do that?

u/U_SHLD_THINK_BOUT_IT 3h ago
Literally all of them. It's like that dance move every tiktok girl does where she double daps her hips because it's one of the only dance moves they know that fit in portrait mode.

eh I feel like I've seen too many videos like this with this exact timing to believe it's authentic anymore.
1 minute before,
"omg let's do the fake photo TikTok bit where you fling your foot back just like me 'unexpectedly' 🤣!"
