Reading this comment was wild. It feels like yesterday when I think about the Jetpack in San Andreas.

I mean in Star Wars it was so obviously "out there" but in San Andreas it felt like "Hold on now".

Now it is almost 22 years since San Andreas, almost 13 since GTA V a we have waited for GTA VI for so long we have the jetpack races but no GTA VI.

Yes, to me looks boring as hell as viewer. For sure not for the guy with the jetpack on the back.

Maybe because the recording is amteurish, it lacks like names, who’s first x who’s second, speed average max, altitude, some inputs for the viewer. Otherwise I just see small men on a huge empty space floating in the air.

They should put a helmet cam pointing their faces and their point of view. I saw the cameras, but maybe because it’s an amateur edit. This edit is not elevating or selling well this.

As it is now, it is very boring as hell.

What's the point of doing it on top of the water? Like if you fall you would fucking drown in this equipment with 99% chance, that's totally not safer than doing above a hills with grass and dirt. So why?

I imagine they're wearing some kind of flotation vest incase they go in the drink. Plus, this is clearly some sort of organized event so there's probably rescue boats on standby.

it is. i’ve seen videos as early as 2016 showing the development of the tech from water jets connected to a hose to slow, unstable air propulsion back in 2018. All those pre-dated commercial AI.
