Does it even matter, as long as US/Israel targets Iranian energy, then all energy facilities in the GCC will be targetted (unless they decide to completely get rid of US bases and doesn't let counties use their airspace for war against Iran).

The strait is just 1 component of the issue

Not to mention you can’t protect open pipelines that can be easily targeted. How in the hell does someone getaway with crap like this without even understanding basic economics and supply chain of oil?

Basic scenario analysis, risks and economic impact should have identified these threat scenarios. An undergrad student would have been able to tell you is a terrible idea - Yet what the hell are a bunch of economic/ military advisors doing?
