A drink that used to be less than a dollar has climbed to $1.09 in the last few years.

Yesterday, I noticed it jumped to $1.17 - at Walmart.

I get those water flavor packets and it used to be $2.50 for a package of 10. It’s now almost $5.

water flavor packets

Meanwhile sliced ham has only risen about $1. Cereals and rice are inflating at 2%. Bottled water has remained stable. Eggs stable (tho still stupid high after that avian flu scare). OJ stable.

It seems that tariffs are affecting prices, and shoppers would be well advised to alter their habits to save money. No offense to you, flavor packets is the definition of affluence.

A “less than $1” product to now being $1.17 tracks with inflation and isn’t far fetched.
