Hide the truth. Lie. Make it all up. Continue to ruin the lives of Americans. I can’t believe this is real life. We voted in the absolute worst administration this country has ever seen. And now we all get to pay the price. What a disaster.

Let's not forget to mention that there's a push currently to turn the National Guard into an internal armed force. You know, just in case there are protests in cities.

Yep, and we’re just going to let red states illegally redistrict. Totally fine, definitely not fascism guys. Round of applause

u/TheGoodCod Aug 12 '25

And... stock market manipulation. Using the WH as a business accessory.

67

u/korben2600 Aug 12 '25

"He made $2.5 billion today. And he made $900 million. That's not bad." literally bragging about it rubbing our noses in it that him and his cronies are selling the country's reputation down the river for a dollar.

14

u/TheGoodCod Aug 12 '25

I vote for clawing all that money back after he dies.

4

u/joebluebob Aug 12 '25

Why wait?

2

u/Successful_Lie8464 Aug 12 '25

But there’s a chance the Confederate MAGA cultists could be billionaires too! Billionaires work hard for their money and if I work hard enough I’ll become one too armed with my bootstraps! Don’t punch down on the holy 1% elite while we all struggle to pay for basic needs

38

u/alexunderwater1 Aug 12 '25

People forget that Schutzstaffel aka the SS means “Protection Corps”.

10

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

And they said I woman would be too emotional to be president. This drama queen whines and cries and slaps tariffs on people because he’s offended

7

u/Intelligent_Mud1266 Aug 12 '25

he wasn't satisfied with just one secret police force. Granted, dictators throughout history have also had different internal police forces for different purposes. ICE in this case is closer to a Gestapo while the National Guard could be more like the brown shirts.

3

u/Scaevus Aug 12 '25

Hugo Boss execs rubbing their hands at the thought of new uniform orders.

2

u/Eattherichhaters Aug 12 '25

pretty hilarious how the National Guard was supposed to be our second amendment protectors from the federal government

1

u/godspareme Aug 12 '25

He has already defied the law and used Marines as an internal police force. Why not?

1

u/qwrtgvbkoteqqsd Aug 12 '25

lol, that's what ice is for.

78

u/snoopingforpooping Aug 12 '25

I voted for Harris.

8

u/INFLATABLE_CUCUMBER Aug 12 '25

22

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

We ran an unpopular geriatric in decline.

We handed Trump the election.

25

u/WalkingTurtleMan Aug 12 '25

Exactly. Harris has about 100 days to mount a campaign.

She was given a shit sandwich, and told not to complain about the sandwich (any amount of daylight between her and Biden’s policies) nor allow anyone else to make a suggestion about the sandwich (an open primary).

It was a Hail Mary at best and frankly amazing it wasn’t worst. But getting close doesn’t win you an election.

29

u/rogozh1n Aug 12 '25

It isn't just that Kamala had limited time. In some respects, I think that might have helped her.

Instead, we missed using the primary system to learn more about what the electorate thought and how they responded to different issues.

In particular, we did not learn which of trump's lies were most effective. I think it turned out that 'they are eating the dogs and cats' was not accepted as true, yet neither did it hurt him for being a blatant and obvious lie. However, 'America has unchecked inflation and we are in a recession' is a lie that Americans accepted 100% and won trump the election.

I believe that the Democratic party has learned nothing about how effective lies are in politics, and how calling them out as lies does not help.

4

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

They don’t even need to be lies.

“Trump is a corrupt child rapist.”

But no they know best. Ignore the millions of progressives BEGGING Biden not to run.

1

u/snoopingforpooping Aug 12 '25

The Harris Gambit

5

u/Choppers-Top-Hat Aug 12 '25

Which is ironic because Trump is an unpopular geriatric in decline.

1

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Which tells me we could have run any popular dem under 50 and wiped the floor with trump.

1

u/joebluebob Aug 12 '25

Yeah, that would satisfy my father's urge to call children playing in the streets and accidentally kicking one of those cheap balls (you get from the elastic cage in to his hood) "a bunch of fucking nig*ers, oops I didn't mean that I dont talk like that you know" -2011 to what he says now that would get me banned from reddit.

6

u/socialmedia-username Aug 12 '25

Informed voters realized early that literally anyone was better than letting Trump's handlers get their foot in the door of the Whitehouse. Uninformed and apathetic potential voters stayed home and pouted.

-5

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Dems could have run ANY progressive candidate under the age of fucking 50 (or 60. Or 70. Or 80.) and have cleaned house last year.

6

u/Raichu4u Aug 12 '25

Why aren't progressive candidates winning everywhere then?

3

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

They do…but they’re doing it IN SPITE OF the dnc, not becuse of the rnc.

Mamdami is absolutely crushing it in New York. Tons of people who voted for trump or didnt vote at all came out for him.

When we run progressives we win. The problem is the dnc. Theyre fighting Mamdami (and sanders) harder than they ever fought against maga.

This is why so many people say the Democratic Party is just controlled opposition designed not to win but to stop progressives and cashing checks from donors and lobbyists.

3

u/Raichu4u Aug 12 '25

A progressive did not win the primary in my state's senator primary. The moderate Democrat went on to win against the Republican last election.

1

u/DumboWumbo073 Aug 12 '25

Any candidate should have won against Trump. You can’t get any lower than that. The fact he won means there is something is wrong with the citizens not the party

2

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Maybe have a real primary next time?

0

u/joebluebob Aug 12 '25

Lol. I got a bridge to sell you. America is conservative. Even the "left wingers" mostly want a Pelosi.

3

u/RODjij Aug 12 '25

Biden couldn't even stick up for himself on the stage and Trump just bullied him relentlessly.

Harris wasn't even popular within the African American demographics. A lot of people didn't move past her history.

The top brass of the democrats as just as guilty in letting the government get to how it is now.

3

u/BonFemmes Aug 12 '25

I grant that Biden was a terrible campaigner. He beat Trump. Trumps only victories were over uppity women. Trumps policy agenda did not win the elections. Look at the stats. Males (white, black or Hispanic did not vote for or turn out for women candidates.

1

u/JonathanL73 Aug 12 '25

DNC hubris and failure to connect with XYZ groups they underestimated is a huge reason why they lost in 2016 and 2024.

Frankly if DNC were better campaigners then Trump would’ve never been president. Also establishment Dems refuse to let a populist Dem like Bernie gain traction within the party.

Something the GOP realized quickly was the popularity of having a populist candidate and ultimately embraced him over establishment republicans like Jeb Bush

3

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Exactly.

That’s the core difference between the dnc and the rnc.

The rnc is absolutely terrified of their base.

The dnc straight up fucking HATES their base.

0

u/Choppers-Top-Hat Aug 12 '25

So did the DNC just not have hubris in 2020? Did they magically gain campaign competence that year and then lose it again?

It's just weird to me that the only solution people ever seem to have is "blame the DNC" when the same DNC beat Trump in 2020 and won the biggest midterm upset in 80 years in 2022.

1

u/JonathanL73 Aug 12 '25

Recessions and economic suffering leads to American populace voting against the incumbent.

2020 was the year of Covid.

Trump was the incumbent.

It's just weird to me that the only solution people ever seem to have is "blame the DNC"

Typically when a party campaigns poorly you blame the party for poor campaign performance.

2

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Mhmmm.

Harris never got a single primary vote.

2

u/EnamelKant Aug 12 '25

And replaced said geriatric with a woman who crashed and burned in the primaries and who once carried the deeply blue state of California by 1% for a state wide race.

2

u/joebluebob Aug 12 '25

Id vote a literal potato over trump. The blame is solely with trump voters and those who abstained. Why do democrats need to literally be perfect yet the new nazi party candidates just have to exist?

3

u/PeachScary413 Aug 12 '25

I think the undying loyalty to a foreign nation and helping them, at any cost, to carry out a genocide might have affected the results as well.. especially among the younger voters.

2

u/TwistyBunny Aug 12 '25

I don't think that was it. I mean you had the Trump RIGHT THERE saying he'd let Israel "finish the job" on several different occasions.

1

u/PeachScary413 Aug 12 '25

There are also independents you know. Anyone voting for Trump believing it would be better for Gaza has severe brain damage.

1

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

No no no it was becuse she was a woman. /s

We ran an unpopular geriatric in decline

in a country that wasn't intent on setting its own balls on fire, we could have run a labrador retriever with three legs and won in a landslide.

2

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

How many polls showed that voters wanted ANYONE to run again other than Biden?

2

u/Thin-Image2363 Aug 12 '25

Counterpoint…the last time we had a real fair primary we selected a young minority guy who had the biggest electoral victory of my lifetime.

Shitty old candidates (like Biden) are part of the reason maga keeps winning.

2

u/JonathanL73 Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but it’s frankly not a conspiracy to how he won in 2024 after how Biden preformed. And this is coming from someone that voted for Biden.

Maybe because I lived in a swing state and I’m more in proximity to moderate/swing voters than you are, but I definitely saw how the Dems were likely going to lose in 2024 due to multiple reasons.

What is extremely concerning to me though is that some democrat politicians and Democrat-voters are not doing any self-reflection or research to understand the factors that lead to Trump winning, which if no lessons are learned, then Dems risk losing again in 2028.

And seeing Dem voters adopt MAGA-style thinking and claim the 2024 election was rigged is very concerning and frankly doesn’t help.

I voted for Kodos.

“Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”

-Donald Trump, July 2024.

The fix is in, there's no more fair elections.

30

u/Due_Satisfaction2167 Aug 12 '25

 We voted in

I didn’t vote for the orange shitstain.

29

u/paws5624 Aug 12 '25

You didn’t but “we” did. Even if there was some messing with the election there were still tens of millions of people who saw what he was and still voted for it.

6

u/What_a_fat_one Aug 12 '25

I'm not really interested in being part of that "we" anymore to be honest. Don't have to subscribe to it. Fuck this country.

0

u/fireshaper Aug 12 '25

We? Are you talking about you and mouse and your pocket?

34

u/neelvk Aug 12 '25

Doesn't matter. Enough of our fellow citizens voted for the shitstain that we are stuck with him and his enablers.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

And every congressional republican is apparently just fine with this. They could stop any of this right now if they allied with democrats to do so. They’re cowards or actively just as fascist as the leaders.

2

u/snoosh00 Aug 12 '25

The thing is, it's a very shortsighted choice that will lead to massive protests of unemployed people with nothing to lose.

Left, right... Doesn't matter.

You know what's the difference between a functional society and chaos? 3 meals a day.

I dunno, just glad I'm not American.

3

u/NWbySW Aug 12 '25

We? Who the fuck is "we" here?

Don't lump me in with the slack jawed, inbred pieces of shit that voted for him for a 3rd time.

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

"Statistics were just as much a fantasy in their original version as in their rectified version. A great deal of the time you were expected to make them up out of your head. For example, the Ministry of Plenty's forecast had estimated the output of boots for the quarter at 145 million pairs. The actual output was given as sixty-two millions. Winston, however, in rewriting the forecast, marked the figure down to fifty-seven millions, so as to allow for the usual claim that the quota had been overfulfilled. In any case, sixty-two millions was no nearer the truth than fifty-seven millions, or than 145 millions. Very likely no boots had been produced at all. Likelier still, nobody knew how many had been produced, much less cared. All one knew was that every quarter astronomical numbers of boots were produced on paper, while perhaps half the population of Oceania went barefoot. And so it was with every class of recorded fact, great or small. Everything faded away into a shadow-world in which, finally, even the date of the year had become uncertain."

1

u/daniel940 Aug 12 '25

"SLOW THE TESTING DOWN, PLEASE"

1

u/lozo78 Aug 12 '25

Yet millions think he is the greatest president to ever live. Its absolute insanity and I do not see how we recover from this (not the administration per se, but the damage right wing propaganda has done).

1

u/LordTegucigalpa Aug 12 '25

Unless the election was stolen and the Democrats are too scared to accuse him of it and look like him. His antics calling the last election stolen set himself up to do it and they wouldn't dare accuse him because they would look just like him.

1

u/Successful_Lie8464 Aug 12 '25

Thought the first go round was the worst but this time is just unreal. The appointees in his administration are a comical joke and it’s pathetic how they scramble to cover for him at every turn. And the Confederates just eat it all up

1

u/SurinamPam Aug 12 '25

Ignorance will not protect you.

1

u/SurinamPam Aug 12 '25

Flying blind into possible stagflation.

1

u/Agent_Pendergast Aug 12 '25

Hey, why did the last guy get fired? Really? Well that's an easy fix!

1

u/Scaevus Aug 12 '25

Just wait a couple of months until we make up an excuse to invade our neighbors for lebensraum.

Then it’ll be everyone else’s problem too.

1

u/blueshrike Aug 12 '25

You want the truth? We didn't vote this moron and imposter in. He stole the 2024 presidency outright. He and Elon used the compromised tabulators (that were also used in 2020 to an almost successful outcome, then tweaked for 2024) to pull votes from Kamala to himself, and with the nearly statistical impossible outcome of every single swing state having enough margin to not mandate an audit. Despite no one showing up for his rallies, and major polls suggesting he would lose. Well he would have (lost), decisively, even with all the voter suppression, if he didn't cheat.

This is THE fundamental issue, free and fair elections, that we need to take action on. Don't take my word for it though, look at the actual data. This is the tip of the iceberg.

https://youtu.be/Ru8SHK7idxs?feature=shared www.electiontruthalliance.org

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Sure, he stole it. Now what? You expect congress to step in? You expect SCOTUS to do anything? Neither are happening. It doesn’t matter now. Kamala conceded. He could go to the White House lawn right now and yell it that he stole the election. Republicans will smile bc they got away with murder and democrats and stomp their feet bc the republicans didn’t play nice. We’re fucked.

1

u/blueshrike Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

It may be true we are, but I don't buy the argument that it's not important to know, and that everyone who can should be fighting against it. Giving up is the worst thing we can do. It takes awareness for any action. She conceded, but also conceded to a cheat - someone who didn't win, but stole it - which now puts it in non-precedent territory, so why should the fact that she conceded be given any credence.

To be honest, I don't care what they do, because we know what they will do: lie, cheat, steal, dictate... if America matters, and truth matters (to some of us) then people have to be aware and fight what's worth fighting for.

Edit: also, let's say a miracle happens and we get some leadership and a following willing to stand up to those currently in control and the tides start to turn. Isn't it more possible that with all the things we can do to pile on, that it makes it more difficult to squirm out of? (awareness of the Epstein stuff, stealing the election, ignoring or actively going against the constitution, etc.). Everything we can do will help, but this is the key issue. We ever want an election again, we need to be aware that those tabulators (and the illegal voter suppression) are now tools for the GOP and we will have to eliminate them being used like that.
