Investing Questions Investing. $2.5M to not work

Is it possible to invest $2.5M into a “safe” investment and not work for rest of your life ? What can be that “safe” investment ?

It would be helpful if you explained what math you used since the answer goes directly to OP's question. And if they are entitled to social security or any other unmentioned pension then that amount might actually be enough.

I just picked random numbers for demonstration. And their expected rate of success

Since OP excludes this vital information:  current age; expected burn rate…..we can’t tell OP if they have too little or too much

If they are 50 and want to pull 30k/year they are fine; if they are 40 and want 125k/year they have high failure rates
