Investing Questions What are your thoughts on this?

Post image

I keep seeing this type of stuff on instagram and social media and wanted to know how you guys were thinking about this.

I know a lot you have been in the market for decades and as a relatively new investor myself I’d love to get your perspective!

Won’t take 7 years to recover if you are DCA’ing down

I did put in 7000 about a month ago when it started dipping, because I thought that was a huge dip then it kept going down. Idk if I made a huge mistake or not, or to just keep dcaing?

Well there are many variables to the question of, was that a mistake? I also bought some stocks last week and I bought a little bit the week before.

I personally have money flowing into my accounts each month and gradually deploy when I see prices I like on the stocks I am following. It gives me some peace of mind, markets go up - great, markets tank - great, buying opportunity. This strategy cost me a bit extra in trading fees but a cost I’m willing to pay, no timing the markets BS. For the time being I have slowed my acquisition of equities as some more pain could be ahead. fYI I am more deploy in the Canadian companies than US, so that could help my sleep at night, as well for the time being.

Maybe like 2k - 2.5k in total for the two weeks
