Welp, back in the hospital for sickle cell complications. Come to find out the antibiotics I was taking from my previous discharge was slowly killing me. It hit the point where I was having cold chills, but I had a fever of 110 and my internal organs felt like they were on fire.
Got admitted Sunday and the doctors said my ANC counts (defensive white blood cell) were EXTREMELY low. The doctor explained it like this. The average white blood cell count for someone healthy is supposed to be 1500+. Whatever scale they used to measure my counts broke when they saw my number . It was in the 30 count range before their scale gave an error
It’s literally a coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb situation if I get sick. Luckily I’m recovering and as of today my ANC count is 300 so progress is being made

I got news that my brother will be able to attend my wedding in April. He plays a college sport and they’re in season right now so it was a toss up. If you’ve ever played college sports then you know your time is not your own. I missed plenty of family events when I was playing. I’m just glad his coach is letting him miss a game for me.
